Howdy

I have not posted for 8 months or so as I care for a family member with bladder cancer. Fast forward and my PSA continues to slowly rise. Last week .14. Seattle cancer care want to continue to watch until big enough to find with PET scan. .20 or so. Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you

I guess a slow rise is better than a massive jump up..I’ve heard .20 also . Just waiting around is difficult .

I don't get it. You already know for a fact that it is in your lymph nodes. That calls for 2-3 years of hormone therapy and whole pelvic radiation for a chance at a cure. It seems like you have everything to gain by immediate treatment, and a lot to lose by waiting. The only thing a PET scan can possibly tell you is that you have distant metastases, which is incurable and avoid radiation. But at a PSA of 0.2, an Axumin PET scan will only detect cancer in less than a third of patients.

Maybe seek a second opinion from an RO at Swedish.

Listen to T.A. he knows his stuff. Hopefully your family member with Bca is seeing a good Oncologist. My regards and prayers to you both.
