MCP benefits aggressive prostate cancer?
Dozens of peer-reviewed, published studies, including peer-reviewed human clinical trials, show how the original and only positively researched form of Modified Citrus Pectin can slow and reverse tumor growth, and reduce metastasis. These results make MCP one of the most important recommendations in

I just found this, a new study from Sweden and Tokyo, which made me a little hopeful. ”An increased awareness on a molecular level of what mechanisms prostate cancer cells use to become mobile and start spreading may in the long run provide new opportunities for treatment of aggressive prostate cancer

New immunotherapy to beat cancer.
Sophie Lucas (UCLouvain de Duve Institute) and her team succeeded in neutralising a molecule that blocks the immune system against cancer. UCLouvain scientists discovered that this new immunotherapy increases the action of another well-known but not always effective immunotherapy, and that it makes tumour

A successful scan!!
I had an 8 week scan this morning and had convinced myself it would be bad news after an mmc back in April. But my little wigglebum was there, strong heartbeat and growing nicely ❤️ such a relief after weeks of anxiety! I know it's still early days but it was measuring perfectly and just looked so strong

Endoscopy results
I was diagnosed with PA about 5 years ago. Have had pre cancerous polyp removed and SI weekly but I have real tummy troubles with a fair amount of pain and lots of bloating. The results of my endoscopy were as follows: gastric mucosa of the antrum and body, where lesions of chronic gastritis are observed

Botox for Urinary issues post RP
I am nearly 16 months post RP, April 1st 2019. Started salvage radiation January 2020, 38 treatments with a six month run of ADT. I still have urgency and occasional leakage. I wear one thin pad a day usually and a depends at night. I have stopped even bothering with Kegels as I really haven't noticed

More surgery for an ovary that isn’t there
Over a year and a half since my hysterectomy and I’ve just been given a consent form for an oopherctomy with tube removal or cystectomy. Only I’m not supposed to have any ovaries or tubes :( there’s a cyst growing from somewhere and ever though I’ve had all the scans they still can’t tell where. Really

Denial of Axumin PET CT order
My insurance company (Premera) today denied my doctors request for the PET scan. Even a peer to peer didn’t help. I’d think after two surgeries and a rising PSA there’d be no doubt of the need but they apparently disagree. Anyone know any tricks to get them to reverse their decision? Thanks!

Having SABR radiotherapy to 61mm met on my hip
My Onco told me that my last PSMA scan (August 3rd) showed good reduction in seminal vesical site but an increase in the RH pelvic met. I went for planning session today and wanted to ask what the change in size from the scan last November was for example, had it increased from 3mm to 6mm?The Specialist

Urinary tract infections?
Is anyone else having lots of urinary tract infections? I have to control constipation or I get severe bladder infection that cause septic cells in the urethra. Taking miralax helps, but I still have frequent urinary infections. Any ideas?

Nebuliser query
Hi there, I’ve just started using a nebuliser for my amikacin antibiotic. While using it I noticed it was going on a bit long. Once I checked I noticed the chamber had some foam build up, clearly I hadn’t rinsed it well enough. That has mixed with the antibiotic. Should I potentially worry about this

Supplement - Ganocellium
Hi, does anyone hear about Ganocelium, this is the product prescription, "it is a pulverized mycelium of ganoderma lucidium (450 mg capsules). As a dietary supplement, Ganocelium supports the body with antioxidant effects. It contains Triterpenes, which increases oxygen consumption, tones up the liver

First phone visit with academic hospital on my biochemical recurrence post robotic radical prostatectomy (University of Wisconsin - Madison)
Met with Dr. David Jarrard from UW Madison today over the phone. He is recommending the Axumin scan and I will most likely proceed with that as my next step. UW Madison has a similar perspective to my local urologist (Dr. Robert Vlach at the Wisconsin Institute of Urology) of having the scan, and then

What To Expect After RP?
Well, after nearly a year of contemplating prostate surgery and taking supplements for many months, I had my prostate removed two weeks ago. I was Gleason 4+3. Glad to learn there was no spread and the surgeon attempted to do nerve-sparing. Previously, I was glad to have gotten good advice and information
