Does IP6 Have New Support from A Mayo Physician Report?
Some prostate cancer patients are interested in natural supplements, especially IP6. Here is an abstract of a case report of a melanoma patient achieving a complete remission without traditional oncology from a Mayo Clinic physician (Jacksonville) and two colleagues.. "Inositol hexaphosphate plus inositol

Finally All Mets Zapped!
Whew, just completed 28 RT session. Finally got my mets zapped. Been wanting to do that as it seems to be a treatment consistent with men here having long remissions. 3 sessions each of SABR to 3rd rib, 6th rib and iliac bone mets. 28 sessions IMRT to para-aortic lymph node string. That’s all that

This is my edited post
I have been on Fentanyl for 15 years and now my doctor (who has never seen me in their lives) is trying to reduce my amount. My doctor doesn't know anything about the drug, or why I am on the drug. If he reduces the amount I will be in crippling pain and I will be bed ridden. I am a pensioner and I live

Loss of Taste??
Before I was diagnosed in December but had been suffering with jaw/shoulder pain since Oct, my taste buds stopped working. Smell is still okay. Some days I think it is improving, then next day things taste sour/sweet/bitter. Just curious if others have experienced this. Think GCA was lurking but not

My options in dealing with a metastasis
I had an Axumin scan a few months ago that revealed one metastasis starting in the prostate bed, prostate gland and extending thru the wall of the bladder. MO said I had two options: Cryosurgery or Proton radiation. Met with RO and he said that it is too dangerous to radiate since I had prior radiation

Scan results in
Oncologist rang about my scan results and I felt really upset as was expecting better. After the first three rounds of carbo /caelyx the three lymph nodes near my aorta had shrank over 50 percent. My final scan after 6 had only shrunk a few millimetres more. I feel rather disappointed and was expecting

deferred pain
I suffer with deferred pain . Its a random process whereby I can strain my back without knowing it and then have pain develop down the sides of my groin and painful agonising sharp pains at the base of my pelvis. It is something I have suffered with on and off for nearly 30 years. I believe the trigger

Your advice on which radiotherapy treatment to choose next
I have mismanaged previous posts and take this opportunity to thank you for your previous responses. They were most helpful, kind and appreciated. I hope this one gets out to all of you. Surgery is not an available option. I have consulted with two radiation oncologists at the major cancer centres in

Gastrointestinal problems
Not sure this is a thyroid problem. But have had bad IBS and steatorrhoea. After being robbed off for two years a locum lady doctor was helpful and I had a stool test. After three weeks it is still not back and when I rang surgery they said sometimes it can take 6 weeks. Just wondering why it is taking

overactive

Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
Unfortunately, this is the last post about my brother. He passed away on October 6. My brother showed great fortitude against very long odds, and his courage and strength of spirit during this brutal battle was inspirational. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I know the cliché that he is finally at peace

Nephrostomy woes
Can anyone give me some insight into how they fare with their nephrostomy. I don’t think I have gone one single day since I’ve had it (June) without some sort of discomfort. It itches, it feels like what I imagine a cigarette burn to feel like, it can feel like pin pricks. It constantly looks sore and

PAE and pudendal pain
In March of this year, I had a prostate arterial embollization. The intent was to reduce the size of my prostate and thereby reduce the associated symptoms. I feel that the procedure did reduce the size - most of those symptoms are gone. The procedure gave me about a month of relief. Everything was

THYROID PAIN
Hi. Thanks for looking at the question. I have an enlarged/swollen thyroid. The left side is painful and is slightly larger and more swollen than the right. The endocrinologist is not looking at an ultra sound scan. What are the chances I have a module? Am I looking to deeply into this? Thanks 😊
