Surgical Menopause - Thyroid Levels Normal?
Hi! I hope you can help please. I'm struggling to optimise my HRT and am worried that my thyroid levels may be too low and are contributing to my problems. My TSH is 0.72 (range is 0.35 - 5.00)and my Free TH is 10.8 (range is 9.0 - 21.0). If anyone can advise if I need to pursue further investigation

Hello everyone, i'm glad to find a community like this to come to. Little introduction!
I had a laparoscopy on Monday to get a conclusive picture, and they carried out a cyst and

. Anyway- I consider myself incredibly lucky so far, as my first GP appointment was only August, so I've been fortunate to be seen and diagnosed very quickly.

Total hysterectomy - resentful
It's only a few weeks since my endo was diagnosed and I've now been advised to have a TAH due to fibroids in uterus, and
removal
of both ovaries to stop more endo growing ( & the right
ovary
is badly damaged by cyst anyway).

Debating whether to keep my ovaries...
Hello All, I'm awaiting a date for my total laparoscopic hysterectomy and am undecided whether to have an oophorectomy at the same time. I have adenomyosis and endometriosis on the left uterosacral ligament and ureter. I had initially elected to keep my ovaries and then panicked, rang my nurse and asked

Cyst after BOC
After
removal
of one
ovary
and borderline tumour removed on the second, I've been having three monthly scans. Last scan showed a cyst so I had further scans and bloods. Good news is that it looks like a normal cyst so I'll just be monitored. I'm relieved as this means I can start Ivf! Hurrah!

Hi all I am a newbie, having a vertical incision hysterectomy due to very large fibroid crushing my kidneys and gallbladder removed 26/10/16. Have to make a decision whether to remove or keep ovaries. Have a passed history of cysts on ovaries and had previous fibroid removed 2011. Want them removed

The big operation tomorrow 💪
I'm going for the full hysterecomy with omentum & lymph node removal in the morning . The operation has been brought forward 2 weeks early I'm excited that things are moving forward but also terrified at the same time. Results will be 2 weeks after to determine what course of treatment I will receive

What to do with lymph nodes?
I will have an interval debulking surgery next week. My PET scan shows NED after 3 cycles of chemo. I had enlarged para aortic lymph nodes initially. I have clear cell histology. My oncologist wants to do laparatomy with complete lymphadenectomy (removal of all pelvic and para aortic lymph nodes). I

I'm new here - Advice appreciated about hysterectomy vs. ovary removal and NHS vs. private care
I would like to hear experiences from those who have pursued these options - Hysterectomy vs.
ovary
removal
and NHS vs. private. I would also be keen to learn about pain coping mechanisms in the meantime.

New to a diagnosis of granulosa cell tumor, and more than a little worried...
I'm 51, just had a hysterectomy and bilateral
ovary
and tube
removal
, and was just advised to follow that up with robotic removal of my remaining pelvic and some para-aortic lymph nodes, which is scheduled in 3 weeks. I'm also having my peritoneum over my right ovary removed.
