Starting IL-5 therapy
Hi has anyone ever been on/ currantly on IL-5 therapy for eosinphilic severe asthma? My consultant wants to start me on it. Seems like theres lots out there (resilumab/mepolib etc). Any tips to having it. Eg. can I self administer at homelike an epi-pen or does it have to be given via i.v. or injection

Run with a purpose Wk9 R2
With two runs to go I was hit with Labrynthitis. Dreadful dizzy spells, can’t lift head up, floored me for four days. I intended to run today but when my alarm went at 6.15 I turned it off and pulled the covers back over. Then I remembered the news I got yesterday. That a friend and ex colleague, probably

worried about progression
Hi everyone! I'm new here; got diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma last June following the loss of hearing in my right side and a referral to ENT. I apparently got missed off the 'to action' list and so didn't have a follow on appointment or repeat MRI until March 2020. My AN has grown 9mm in 9 months

Pafib and Cinnarizine
I’ve had Labrynthitis for just over a week now. It’s horrible. Dizzy, ringing in ears and nausea. Do you think it’s okay to take Cinnarizine (Stugeron) with Bisoprolol or having afib? Any advice about Labrynthitis?

Final reminder to self: don't take dog
Week 5 run 1 today - I was ready! My little dog needed some exercise so I thought, I'll take him again. What's the worst that could happen? 5 minute warm up walk, had to drag him along, constantly looking longingly back at the house. We get to the woods where I run and after a while he's off the lead

I posted on here for the first time nearly a month ago about a brain injury I sustained 15 months ago. I have had some lovely informative replies and realised that my symptoms could be so much worse hearing some stories on here and I am lucky, however I am struggling mentally and physically. I wanted

tinnitus and hypothyroidism
Has anybody gotten tinnitus after RAI? Over the years, mine started mildly, disappeared, returned and now it's very loud. I've recently upped my dose of Tirosint from 75 to 88 mcg, thanks to great advice I got here. Is that a cause and it will pass? Could it be due to a vitamin deficiency? Anxiously

A Red Kite and some Bees!
Hello everyone, a little nature post for you this evening! A lot of us have noticed that the wildlife have become a little more adventurous during lockdown and we’ve noticed that a pair of Kites that usual circle the neighbouring farmland have now started to circle above our garden (along with some Buzzards

Ferrograd C - does it sell in the UK?
Hi all, I’m in the UK for some time and I can feel that my iron is low again (been a continuous issue for years, I know the signs). In Australia I used to take Ferrograd C with fantastic results. Is there an equivalent here? I haven’t come across it. Ferrograd: Each tablet contains: Dried ferrous

Hello, hope you are all keeping well. 🙂 Quick background as I'm new here - My struggles with tinnitus started in October 2019 when I felt as though my left each was blocked. This lasted for a few weeks, then became a bit more intermittent but I then also kept hearing a continuous whoosh. I was referred

You'd think I was asking for the moon 😒
Just venting a bit! I have a front and back yard. They have to be mowed. (I bought a weed eater for mother's day and do that myself.) I can't now the yards. 2back and a neck surgery, feet braces. Just no. Can't do it. The last time my dad did it, he sat down and I thought he was going to have a heart

Wk 4 run 3 ✅
Found it tough today, calves screaming a bit, until the final run strangely so found a reserve of energy and picked up the pace for the last couple of minutes. Then looked at my Adidas app and we’d actually improved our pace on every run! I’m not worried about speed at this point but it was reassuring

Otomize - scared to use it. New Member!
Hi there, I’m new to this forum. I’ve suffered with low level tinnitus since I was approx 18....I’m now 45. Over the last week or so, I’ve noticed my tinnitus has suddenly got worse. It’s now like a high-pitched electric current type noise in my head (rather than multi-tone when I’m trying to sleep

Levo without additives
Hi all. A while back I mentioned that I had found a UK company that makes levo without any additives in it. It is basically T4 suspended in almond oil with vitamin C as the preservative. They would only tell me the cost if I got a private script, which I finally managed to do free off my GP... however
