Viral infection?

So I went back to my GP today because it’s been 1 week since I started having ringing T in my right ear and on/off Hyperacusis (also in right)

She has given me amoxicillin and told me that it’s the tail end of a viral infection and will clear up in a few weeks. I feel very skeptical having read the amount of people whose dr said this to them But it didn’t resolve.

The only thing mitigating the viral infection thing in my mind was I had an awful migraine every day for about a week before the ringing started.

What are your thoughts?

I should also mention I have on off dizziness when I move about and what feels like fluid in the ear (although she can’t see anything immediate)

When you mention dizziness, I cant help not thinking about menieres disease. I think you should talk with your Ear specialist about this. As to viral infection, I am sure I got tinnitus and hyperacusis. , due to an inner Ear viral infection. So maybe your doctor is right. Best wishes.
