Hearing test
Has anybody else suffered from hearing loss? Just had Audiologist home visit and assured me that RA was responsible even though my Consultant said it wasn't! Who's right?

Covid-19
The UK Chief Medical Officer has just said something very interesting, at least I hadn’t heard this before. Covid-19 is a two stage virus. First stage is flu. Most people never progress but stage 2 is viral pneumonia. The old and those with chronic diseases are more likely to move to this stage. Some

Hi So still waiting on diagnosis and seeing rheumatologist! I had fillings today my tinnitus feels worse and I feel a bit more dizzy Is it normal for people who have lupus to recover a bit slower if that makes sense ? Bit of a headache and trying not to worry as it went fine and all’s okay just like

Hello - new member.
I kick myself now for not reading the

spray
information leaflet first. I've always hated putting anything into my
ear
but I just went ahead and followed the doctors advice. The hearing has decreased but I'm wondering if that's just down to further blockage of the grommet.

Spanish holidays
Hi everyone and greetings from sunny Andalucia where we, and the whole of Spain are in lockdown. Yesterday afternoon the raised level of alarm led to a decree to restrict movement of people.. we are to stay in our homes , the only valid reasons for leaving your home are to buy essential food and household

Cochlear implants
Hi,, I’m beginning to sound like a broken record. I have a cochlear implant , debating whether it’s been worth all of the hassle of having it in as it’s been painful. Has anyone out there had great success with theirs ? Thanks Jenny 😊

Infected Chalazion
Hi, I am diagnosed with infected chalazion on my right eye. Anyone can let me know some home remedies to ease irritation? GP has prescribed me Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment and some other meds. Also let me know if surgical drainage of chalazion okay and normal if GP decides to perform? Regards

Update for my friends here
The neurologist said I don’t have MS. Says it is “degenerative spine disease” He says the inflammation is causing so much pressure on my spinal cord, it is causing all of my problems. They are holding me here overnight, so I can be seen by the neurosurgeon tomorrow. ASAP. I tried to put it off till

T and me
Mine has been going on for 30 years. Initially came from a loud concert. Since then an acoustic neuroma operation made it worse. And getting older has not helped. I've been down different paths seeking relief. What is helping is the odd realization of the truth. It's not funny but for some of us without

Recurrent inner ear infections
Waiting for a scan to see if my hearing loss in left ear is due to Acoustic neuroma . I have recently had two inner ear infections, characterised by fullness, pain and fever. Has anybody else experienced this?

Stopped Digoxin but now have Bradycardia - an update.
Hi, I posted a couple of weeks again about a bad AF episode and being put on digoxin as well as my low dose of bisoprolol. Things got worse in terms of the low HR so I called 111 for advice. They got me go go to see a primary care doctor, who decided that I needed to go to A&E because of my symptoms

Can Hashimoto's thyroiditis cause vertigo?
We have seen many posts here from or about people who have various balance issues. Recognition of an association between balance and thyroid is a step towards better understanding (even if not always the cause). [i]
