Hearing aids with sensoneurial hearing loss
I have tinnitus and slight hearing loss due to cotton bud incident pushed into ear with force. I am told I have sensoneurial hearing loss. I have behind the ear hearing aids from the NHS. Are these the only hearing aids I can have ? I also am waiting for a perforated ear drum to be repaired Please

Strange tinnitus noice
Hi all. I am new here. I am a tinnitus sufferer for the last 15 years. The whole thing started after a bout of ear infections and loss of some of my hearing. To start with it was a low level pulsatile tinnitus, which I got used to rather quickly and it didn’t really bother me much over the years. However

Nebivolol timing and low blood pressure
I take 2.5mg Nebivolol and 200mg Flecainide daily, taking the Nebivolol in the mornings. I have low normal BP but recently have had readings in the 80/50 range which make me feel pretty bad. I drink water and keep my salt level up but every day down it goes about 2 hours after I take the Nebivolol

My Menieres Experience
I have been diagnosed with Menieres for just over a year now & have been on 24mg of betahistine & 2.5 mg of bendroflumethiazide which was working really well. I tried dropping to 16mg of betahistine but after 5 days had a severe attack of rotational vertigo & vomiting so the higher dose worked well

Unrelated But: Nausea with Smells
I get motion sick easily. Sometimes after brushing my teeth or showering, the smell of the product makes me feel so nauseated, like I am in the car & I got car sick. It can last up to a few days, and I have to avoid anything too pungent. But I can also have fleeting nausea moments with smells. This seems

Iv just seen a piece in the Irish times dated 12th November 2020 about a nasal spray of the [love hormones oxytocin] which could banish ? tinnitus. It does say in 2017 researchers from the federal university of San Paulo Brazil tested the spray on 15 tinnitus sufferers over 10 weeks. The results published

Time spans to habitualise?
Hi I can't decide if my tinnitus varies (spikes) or my ability to cope does. I'm relatively new to new to it, started in October 2020 as a constant very high pitched whine in left ear. I had a couple of weeks around a month ago when I was able to almost ignore it completely but the last week or so

Hearing loss - harbinger of PSP?
Hope you are all coping and muddling along. As yet another lockdown-(ish) weekend draws nigh, I am feeling particularly homesick - I really was hoping to go and see my mum soon (she's the one with PSP ) but, sadly a Covid spike in India means that is not to be - at least not just yet. Her doctor has

Diabetic Toothpaste ? Yes, you have read correctly , Colgate , the world leader in Toothpaste, now has launched a Toothpaste for Diabetes.
If you are using any commercial toothpaste , if you read through the list of ingredients , you will find a dozen of Synthetic chemical additives in it- some are preservatives, some are foaming agents, some are cleansing agents, some are dispersing agents, some are for flavour and many such things . But

Tinnitus spike, persistent ear infection.
I have had tinnitus since 2009 and have had a few spikes over the years that have caused distress but then settled down. However 6 weeks ago I started with an outer ear infection which developed into a middle ear infection. I have ear fullness, hearing is a little muffled (was really bad but seems better

Covering & Tinnitus - A Voice for Change
I'm new to this forum and wanted to ask the community about how your workplace supports people with Tinnitus, or provides for the prevention of hearing loss in others? As someone who has suffered Tinnitus for the last 8 years, Tinnitus, for me, has resulted in a modified way of life, and now I realise
