As I said in reply to your post two months ago - I think you have reduced much, much too quickly...and nothing you say today has changed that opinion.
Honestly, there is no point being on the medication if it's not at the correct dose, if you haven't seen a doctor since diagnosis who is monitoring your reduction plan, or your symptoms? Anywhen? or have you been left to you own devices?
I'm not being rude, but I don't think you understand your illness, not your fault if nobody has explained it - so this might help a little-

but the main point is, you are not reducing relentlessly to zero, you are trying to find the lowest dose that controls your symptoms -

Yes - I used to squeal as the BP cuff went up. Anyone touching the achilles tendon area was awful, even to just hold my foot steady. However - once on enough pred, it should improve quite a bit.
I think (and various rheumies and physios agree) that it is when myofascial pain syndrome is a component of your PMR and the fascia (the transparent skin you are familiar with from joints of meat and poultry) is inflamed.

Thanks for prompt reply. I think I may have to contact doc to get higher dose of prednisone am currently on 4 mg down from 15 in Feb 2020 was down to 2mg but covid jab put me back up again. Am reluctant to go back up but not feeling too good. Have not seen doc since diagnosis. pharmacist keeps ringing to get me to go lower . I am so grateful for all the advice from you all Thanks again
Give the pharmacist this to read:

Both articles are about the same research but with different emphases. But the most important is that PMR lasts a long time.
I have no objection to them using pharmacists in general practice - but they DO have to know about the different uses of drugs in different disorders.
Answer yes. My PMR experience includes muscle pain , and blood pressure cuffs make me squeal with pain. The bicep muscle for me is particularly tender.
