I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and ?fibromyalgia. My pain is down my right side but I’ve recently developed a pain in my left groin which is also very painful in bed which is new for me. Anyone else had this?

The pain came back at night in my knee with osteoarthritis. My blood test yesterday showed no increase in inflammation levels. I have increased to 11.25 for three days. How is it possible to get pain again without inflammation values? Is the osteoarthritis to blame and Pred does not help?

well saw rheumy today, finally decided to try the injections of methotrexate, for all over joint and muscle pain, hands, fingers, wrists , ankles , right hip( getting hip replacement) , was reluctant hearing about all side affects , bit chronic pain since end of June 2024, starting at 15 mgs 1st week

I have done that. and I have had a lot of pain.. well, pain in the morning all over.. which she said I should expect as I have a great deal of osteoarthritis in shoulders and hands and prednisone has been masking the osteoarthritis . Tylenol.

I have been tapering preds over 7 weeks from 6mg to 5 1/2mg and in the last few weeks the pain in my neck osteoarthritis has been excruciating and mobility very restricted. Ive had neck problems for years long before GCA so it’s difficult to say what is causing what.

read it seems any sympton ie from aching knees, to ankles , neck, elbow joints, a long list while tapering pred, even in the dead slow method, can result in so many different symptons as mentioned above is result of flare and pmr active, while my rheumy suggests with all my symptons not pmr rather osteoarthritis
