PCOS and health insurance
I have tried
orlistat
and had little reaction to it as I do eat fairly lean most of the time and lost no weight on it. My GP has now said the next step will be weight loss surgery. I was wondering if anyone knows if private healthcare will cover this?

PCOS - Orlistat
They have prescribed me
Orlistat
which I’ve started this morning I just wondered how effective others have found it? I also wanted to know how it does actually work. I can understand how it stops you gaining any more weight but how does it break down fat that is already there?

Lack of motivation
I'm also on
orlistat
to help with the fat I take in. My OH is fed up of giving me advice and now when I ask him if I look any different he gives me negative answers. He said he's negative because he wants me to push myself to losing more than just inches. To prove him wrong etc.

Hypothyroidism - under medicated?
I even tried
Orlistat
(anti obesity drug) for 4 months and lost no weight so they won't re-prescribe. I've seen several GPs (and changed surgery) but they all just tell me I'm fine and ignore my complaints or tell me I'm depressed and the symptoms are in my head!

Hi there! Is anyone using or have used Otlistat and can tell me a bit more about it please? I was prescribed it the other day but I can't really find much on what I should and shouldn't eat and just how much fat I should lower my intake to due to the 'accidents' lol If anyone could help I would really

Hello, I am new to this community. Concerned about family member.
Has tried
Orlistat
meds from GP but gave up due to side effects. Tried Slimming World, lost a few pounds and regained a few times and gave up. She also suffers with polycystic ovaries (PCOS). GP doesn't offer much help with this apart from 'lose weight'.

Been to the GP this morning and he has prescribed
Orlistat

Returning after too long
Oh and I will also state the doc has put me on
Orlistat
, but with no diet advice, and im struggling, and i remembered this place/diet which is why i returned. is it just me or does it seem silly to be put on an obesity drug with zero dietary advice?

I'm just curious, has anyone here who has struggled with weight loss from hypo/hashi tried
Orlistat
and if you have how did it go? Did you have to buy it yourself or did you get it prescribed by your doctor?
