PCOS - Orlistat

I’ve just been diagnosed with PCOS after saying to my doctors for years that I’m constantly gaining weight despite eating healthily and being active. They have prescribed me Orlistat which I’ve started this morning I just wondered how effective others have found it?

I also wanted to know how it does actually work. I can understand how it stops you gaining any more weight but how does it break down fat that is already there?
