Lack of motivation

Hi. I want to be fit and healthy. I need to lose 60kg. I currently weigh 124kg, don't have any medical issues. I have recently joined the gym and have noticed I've lost inches but not any weight. The needle just isn't budging! I'm also on orlistat to help with the fat I take in. My OH is fed up of giving me advice and now when I ask him if I look any different he gives me negative answers. He said he's negative because he wants me to push myself to losing more than just inches. To prove him wrong etc.

Hi, welcome!! I believe that what you eat matters more than how much you move. I hear people every day who eat more because they have exercised thinking they can. I would focus on what you are eating looking at how many calories you need for your weight. You can do this and you will feel great I promise. Be honest with yourself about what you're eating!

Hi. Thank you for your advice. I have cut down on food. I'm not sure how counting calories work but I am stocked up on fruit and veg. I have my 5 a day (more like 10 a day) but nothing! X

If you're losing something, then you're making progress. Stick with it, keep making little tweaks to your nutrition and exercise regimes, keep recording every rep and every bite to keep accountable and have a benchmark to work from, and change will come and keep coming.

Hi. Thank you for your advice. I do record everything I do. I use my tracking watch and notebook to keep track of all I do. X

Do this for you, no one else. Quit asking him questions. You know the answers and you can help yourself. We will be here for you.

I just spoke to a friend who's also a fitness instructor. He assured me if I'm loosing inches and not weight is because the fat is turning into muscle. And the weight loss will happen over time. 😁😁
