BMI and "radical" endometriosis surgery
I am trying so hard to lose weight, I'm prescribed
orlistat
to help with this but it is a huge struggle especially with PCOS. I am steadily making progress but it's going to be a journey, and in the mean time I'm in agony with my endo.

She has suggested trying
Orlistat
but reading the leaflet on what to not eat, limit etc and talking to various folk including the pharmacist at my local chemist, my understanding of the possible side effects seem horrendous. Has anyone else used this medicine and your thoughts please. Thank you

Nothing changes, if nothing Changes.
Well last week I was at work, discussing with a colleague about the glamorous side effects of
. Gassy, fatty poos etc.. Which led us to then we discuss how much weight I wanted to lose.

New member looking for advice
I’ve even tried medications they prescribe for the weight and they didn’t help (from metformin, to
orlistat
to GLP-1, etc). I will definitely be advocating for myself and try to get the right blood tests and advocate for myself even if they think treatments is for levels of 10 or above.

Asthma combined with other conditions?
They have also reintroduced the Metformin that I used to take for PCOS and
Orlistat
to see if these help me lose weight (PCOS makes it harder to lose weight). I am awaiting another test result and then they are looking to proceed with investigating the cause of the iron deficiency.

Anyone tried Orlistat & found it's not working?
Celery, cucumber, tomatoes, a bit of humus & yoghurt with
orlistat
about 1-2pm. Other supplements about 5. Nuts &
orlistat
about 6.30. Tea &
orlistat
about 8.30. Generally drink tea all day and sugar free pop or diet tonic in the evenings.

Update: Morbid obesity, PCOS, weight regain and more… 🥴
My GP prescribed me
Orlistat
. There's no evidence of this pill getting (and keeping) obese individuals at a healthy weight. I think the pills are useless, honestly. Disgusting side effects, too. I'm just taking them to validate my need for a bariatric referral/specialist treatment, to be frank.

A modest proposal
Orlistat
. Metformin. And then there are the expensive and stressful "treatments" that follow in later years. Heart transplants. Kidney transplants. Hip replacements. Amputations. By the NHS's own estimates, about 25% of the operating budget is wasted on these things.

Orlistat - has anyone got any experience?
Hi all, I am trying to lose weight currently and spoke to my GP about this - she suggested that I try
Orlistat
tablets - alongside diet and exercise changes. Has anyone had any experience of taking it? How did you feel on it?

So glad I’ve found this site!
I’ve tried every diet going, I was even given
Orlistat
