Alendronic acid
Hi, I've just been reading the leaflet that has come with my alendronic acid, it says some people can't take it, one of these reasons is if you have digestive problems, I have IBS and UC, do the doctors not actually look at your notes before prescribing meds, I already have bad indigestion from the steroids

Ibandronic Acid
I tried to tolerate Alendronic Acid, but was quite poorly with taking it, However my doctor prescribed Ibandronic Acid taken monthly; this is the 3rd monthly dose now. I can truly say now that I’ve had no side effects at all- Hope this helps someone experiencing the side effects of Alendronic Acid.

DEXA scan results and thanks to this forum.
Firstly thanks to this forum for the advice about alendronic acid and dexa scans. In brief, I was diagnosed with PMR in April started pred in May. My GP wanted me to go on AA because I'd broken a bone a few years back and there was the assumption I was low bone density. (I mentioned it was a spectacular

Unsuccessful pain management
Hi everyone, Last night I ended up being taken into my local A + E by ambulance after ringing 111. I’m on the second day of my cycle and have been having my usual symptoms; sickness, headaches, fainting, diarrhoea and feeling extremely fatigued. The pain this month is the worst it’s been, it just seems

Mefenamic Acid
Hi all. I was wondering about others' experiences with mefenamic acid. I've heard/read some things about there being a limit to how much you can take it, or it becoming less effective over time. I've also heard something about it potentially *causing* pain, if you take it for too long??? I'm planning

Any Pcos ladies taking myo-inositol & alpha-lipoic acid before IVF?
Hi Ladies, I was diagnosed with PCOS around 15 years ago. It wasn’t until my second ectopic pregnancy that I started to really educate myself on the condition. I’m not your ‘typical’ PCOS sufferer (as I’m constantly told, like it makes a difference 😑) I have low BMI, no excessive hair growth or acne

I am rigidity- dominant PD ; My personal experience!
I am rigidity -dominant PD and like other PwPD my main issues arise when imbalances between Acetylcholine and Dopamine and other neurotransmitters occur. I think we are either Dopamine- dominant or Acetylcholine- dominant( my case) PD. 📍📍Note: The DaTSCAN image doesn't belong to me and that's for
