Hi to everyone on this beautiful sunny day here in UK. Following on from my post four days ago, with regard to Alendronic Acid.

I had my telephone appointment with my Dr this afternoon and after taking everything into consideration have decided to continue with the Alendronic Acid for the present time. I really did appreciate all the information you wonderful members gave me.

My grateful thanks to each one of you. 🙏

Good luck with it. Keep in touch. Most of us find AA a worry.

Hi Jane, a sideways track took me to this AA post of yours - I was looking because I think I missed my weekly tablet yesterday (tablets seem to have been changed physically and I got muddled ) - and have decided it’s not a disaster, and I’ll take another next week. But I noticed what you said about potential problems taking it- didn’t know. Is there a special AA information thread? Also, not sure I’ve ever had a bone density scan... many thanks, Karen

You don't mean take an extra one next week I hope?

Look in the FAQs, - the link is just below the post at the top - and also in the list of related posts where there are a lot of previous threads on AA.

That OK - just wasn't sure. I think you can take them up to 24 hours late.

Ah. Well I’ve missed it for today as well, so I’ll do next Thursday. Thanks. Hope it’s lovely in Italy today

The months have got mixed up - we had a sort of May in March, April played at being March and May is doing an excellent imitation of April. Only positive has been that we didn't get snow the first week of May which isn't unusual!

Yes it's all a little uncertain here, too...

Do you have all the information you need Frewen1?

Oh thanks, Jane ... yes, I think I've decided that as I've inadvertently skipped this week it won't be a problem - I'll just carry on next week. I need to call back to the hospital to speak to the Rheumy nurse again - as I suspected, for the first time I'm in limbo, my consultant (I think we discussed this) has left last week to have a baby, and, here's a turn-up - they have funding this time for the locum, but can't get a doctor. So (This is a big London Hospital) two staff down, and I may or not have an in-person meeting in the second week of June, where I have a lot of questions - and no one, apparently, to answer them. (Including results of scans that the nurse couldn't interpret for me). What larks. Karen x
