I also take 15mg Bisoprol, 2.5mg Indapamide and 40 mg Olmesartan together with 60mg Edoxaban in the morning and 8mg Doxazosin at night. A week ago he changed my Lercandipine dosage to 20mg and to take it in the evening

AF confused about heart rate
Hi all, I’m newly diagnosed with AF, it was initially picked up by my Fitbit in August then again in September. I started on Bisoprolol 2.5mg and Apaxiban 5mg twice a day in October. As far as I understand AF is a very fast heart rate, mine was 174, since starting the Bisoprolol my resting HR is now

propranolol for SVT
I had an ablation two years ago for Afib and so far it is holding. I also have SVT, PVC and PAC. I’m on olmesartan and amlodipine for BP control. I was put on 12.5 mg carvedilol twice daily for rate control which made me feel breathless and exhausted . Changed to Metaprolol which was worse, so put back

Update on Omlesartan/Candesartan debacle!
hi folks, I thought I would give you a quick update. I started on the Olmesartan (low dose) on Monday morning. By this morning my resting heart rate had fallen into my boots and I could barely function. Over 48 hours it dropped from the usual 74 bpm to 57 bpm. I felt awful. I also started with a runny

Olmesartan (Omesar) and NSAIDs
My doctor has put me on Olmesartan 10mg in addition to the Amlopidine 5gm I'm already on. To further lower my BP from 150. The patient leaflet says not to use NSAIDs with the Olmesartan. The doctor is away til Monday,so I'm asking the community if they have any experience of this. I use naproxen

Angiotensin antihypertensives and COVID-19: No clear added risk nor protection.
Yesterday in a reply I raised the possibility of whether angiotensin-related anti-hypertensive drugs, ACE inhibitors or ARBs would have any protective effect on COVID-19 infectivity, having heard that the virus uses "ACE2" as a receptor. The current NEJM issue has an article summarizing this complex

Homeopathy For High BP
Hi all My uncle 62, has been taking BP medicines for years. Right now he is on Clindipine and Olmesartan. Sometimes he feels very depressed and anxious. A friend of his told him, his depression is due to hypertensive drugs. Being scared he wants to switch from Allopathic medicines to Homeopathic ones

Olmesartan medoxomil - a type II ATR antagonist, or angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). . . . . used to reduce high blood pressure.
Is anyone reading this ( - or known to him/her) taking this ? A "yes" from one to two members would be very helpful and most appreciated ! This is available as a number of generics, including Olmecip by Cipla and Olmesmart by Dr Reddy's. Sid Arthur

Diabetes and high blood pressure . . . .
Is there an association between diabetes and high blood pressure - or a known correlation? High blood pressure can be reduced by many drugs, including anti-hypertensive agents in the sub-group known as angiotensin type II receptor blockers. One drug in this sub-group is olmesartan, available as a generic
