FDA ODAC -Lynparza (olaparib), PARP inhibitor, is only for metastatic castration-resistant PC patients whose tumors have a BRCA mutation.
The FDA Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee agreed with the agency’s forcefully stated view that Lynparza (
olaparib
), a PARP inhibitor, should be given only to metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients whose tumors have a BRCA mutation.

Maintainence Drugs Avastin & Olaparib
So I will be moving into maintenance treatment with the combination of Avastin and
Olaparib
which needs to be approved by NHS first. I am a BRCA 2 positive so hoping to get the approval. I wanted to ask when you had the combination treatment, how did you feel during the treatment?

What have your results been after stopping
olaparib
? Did your cancer return? If so, how quickly. Any input is welcome!

I completed exactly one year on
Olaparib
today. I had high grade serous OC stg4, brca1, and started in op after chemo and surgery was very effective. My HB count dropped to 5.5 and platelets to 80, wbc 2400 (all are at their lowest, even lower than during chemo).

Wishing all the forum ladies and support workers a restful and peaceful Christmas and New Year.
I am also on
Olaparib
which I know causes similar side effects. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Furthermore I had a mild dose of covid 3 weeks ago... perhaps a contribing factor?

ca125 result variations
I have been taking ca125 test every 2 months since starting
olaparib
few months back. From an initial reading of 700 during diagnosis, it went down to 10 mid chemo and 4.4 after surgery and 6th chemo. In the last 3 tests, the readings were 4.5, 5.1 and 6.4 (reference 0 to 35).

UK and abiraterone availability
But at least
olaparib
is now available for BRCA, though there is something of a backlog on biopsy testing apparently. But again worth a question for those who are progressing on Abi or Enza.

Hi, everyone
They think it’s

any test other than ca125?
After 6 rounds of chemo and a major debulking surgery off the abdomen area, I am currently on
olaparib
as I am BRCA1 positive. Wanted to check if any other tests other than ca125 is needed to keep an eye on our health status?
