Stopping olaparib/lynparza

Hoping others can share their experiences. My mom was given the option to stop taking olaparib after 2 years because she is NED. She is BRCA negative. She decided she is going to stop. Of course, as her daughter, I am panicked because we have had 2 years with her that we were not expecting. But I also realize this has been extremely hard on her body and I’m trying to be supportive.

What have your results been after stopping olaparib? Did your cancer return? If so, how quickly. Any input is welcome!

Hi. I have been on Olaparib for 2 weeks shy of 9 years. For me side effects have/are minimal. I am BRAC2. Has your mum had a lot of side effects? Maybe a dose reduction would help if she is allowed to continue on it?

Hi. If you google “update on results of solo 1 trial” you’ll see the data on women who took Olaparib for two years after frontline. They’ve now been followed for 5-7 years and the results are impressive.
