Octasa whole tablets in poo!
Has anyone had any experience of passing
Octasa
800mg or any other tablet out whole in your poo? I have been on 2.4g of
Octasa
since 2019 and never noticed this before, but haven’t been feeling 100 percent the past few days and happened to notice it last night.

Has anyone here tried SpoGest-IB probiotic?
I'm currently on
Octasa
800mg and want to know if this probiotic can be used alongside my current meds. Any recommendations on any other good probiotics you’ve tried and had success with are highly appreciated as well. Thanks!

I am new here having finally been diagnosed with Crohn’s Colitis having previously told it was Ulcerated Colitis
My GP doubled my medication to 4800 mg of
Octasa
(Mesalazine) a day but, after two weeks, it doesn’t seem to have had any effect. I saw the Consultant earlier in December who wants me to consider being put on Azathioprine. I have read up on this drug but it seems to have lots of side effects.

Ulcerative Colitis
I am taking
Octasa
800mg 3 tablets twice/day, Salofalk suppositories 3 times/day and Prednisolone 20mg/100ml at night time. This combination normally works but this time it is not doing so as I am still experiencing pain, frequency and bloody stools.

Colitis is getting me down!
Was on
octasa
highest dose but was passing them fully. Did a short course of beclamethasone in March for 4 weeks I know we’re all different but is this typical of colitis? What would people in my Position do?

Pembrolizumab & possibility of U. Colitis recurrence?
Colitis & sepsis in autumn 2015, and my GE had it under control within a few months using
Octasa

Octasa 800mg giving me problems???
I feel that I am worse after taking
Octasa
800mg . I have recently started this drug again and I'm sure it is making my symptoms worse. Anyone else experienced this? When first diagnosed I had Asacol 800mg and don't remember these symptoms.

My doctors prescribed me
Octasa
(mesalazine) three times a day. Had a colonoscopy and waiting to see a gastroenterologist. I have very loose Diarrhea several times a day. Have had this since May of this year. I’ve been a coeliac all of my 69 years and recently on dairy free diet.

Prednisolone shakes
I am on mesalazine (
octasa
) 6 x 800mg and slowly reducing prednisolone, currently down to 5 x 5mg per day for another week before reducing again by 5mg. Apart from necessary dietary changes to avoid foods that irritate the condition, that is my current treatment plan.
