Octasa

The Dr. prescribed me with a Prednisolone suppositories 5mg twice daily plus started oral Mesalazine as Octasa 2.4g/day. I’m on my 3rd week of the medication. But is not working properly.

The only difference since my last blood test is that I’ve started taking Octasa. Has anyone else heard of, or experienced any liver problems with Mesalamine meds? Perhaps they’re not connected but it’s the only connection I can make, and curious to know.

Is this a normal side effect of Octasa, and if so, how long might it last? It's tricky going from being symptom free on steroids l, to back to diarrhea again! Thanks for reading/replying!

I had steroids for 3 months which generally helped (though my calprotectin was higher after the course) and I started Octasa 800mg (6 a day) about 2 months ago.

I started meditation was on Octasa ASA.

I’ve been prescribed Octasa 800mg 6 times per day but have people got worse before they got better?

After diagnosed with CLL, unmutated, Trisomie 12, cd38 neg, Zap 70 30%, I received FCR 6 cycles. Afterwards 9 years therapy free in 10/2022 got a DLBCL and was treated with R CHOP 14 6 times. Suspicion of Richters because of CLL. But clonal checks in special LAB showed no relationship with CLL and PET

I take Octasa 1600mg three times a day. In recent weeks however, I have been having significant rectal pain. A feeling of pressure and discomfort which is there most of the day. I’m going to the toilet 4 times a day on average hence it’s not getting a chance to rest.

Just been prescribed octasa 800 X 3 per day. Any thoughts on whether to take as 3 separate doses or all in one go would be welcome. Thank you.

Hello Does anyone feel chest ache since being on Octasa 1600mg per day.

I’ve only had this since being on Octasa 1600mg per day for my Ulcerative colitis.

I have been prescribed with Octasa 1600mg to take but is it best to take these in the morning or evening? Any advise would be appreciated. Regards

had a problem about 15 years ago and had various tests and finally a colonoscopy. the results didnt show conclusively that i had uc but nevertheless was prescribed octasa 6 tablets per day. over the years that followed i reduced the tablets down to 1 in the morning and 1 at night. i went for another

Have been prescribed Prednisolone tablets, Octasa tablets and Ad-Cal. Shocked at how many I have to take every day, on top of the meds I already take.

I had one a few days ago and saw 2 of my Octasa tablets in amongst...well you know what I'm referring to LOL. I've posted about this before and was asked whether it was just the outer shell of the tablet that was in amongst it and I didn't know the answer. So, this time I investigated.

Around 4-6 months after I decided to try and stop taking Octasa despite my doctor advising otherwise. I had felt perfectly fine without it and wanted if it came back to manage it in other ways first. Now after all this time it is back.

had a positive Ena profile and was diagnosed with Sjogrens syndrome - not currently on any medication for this In November 2021 started having gastro problems biopsies were taken and they can't differentiate what is causing the problems despite increasingly severe inflammation was put on 4800mg of octasa

I have been prescribed Octasa 800mg 6 tablets per day. Has anyone felt a little odd after starting to take these. I have had a headache since starting the course on Friday and I have felt kind of whoosy (I don't know how else to describe it).
