From a Gleason 9 to a clean CT scan in 18 mos.
18 mos ago, my husband was told by his dr. that he "most likely had two or three good years left." (WHY do they say stupid things like that?) I think that a lot of people believe whatever the dr. says and subconsciously program themselves accordingly. I, on the other hand, thought to myself, "We'll

How important is missing 2 months of ADT?
I'm one month into RT and ADT for 9 months. I chose monthly Eligard. The Urology office made a mistake and came in with a 3-month dose. When I told the nurse I had communicated my 1-month preference prior, she left the room. The Dr. came in, eyeballed the dosage, removed 2/3 and I received it. I was

Endocronologist experience
Hi there, I recently had a top end and very experienced endocrinologist tell me that the 1.6mcg of levo per KG in weight was an old fashioned and outdated theory. Is this the case? I have just upped to 100mcg and was just wondering if I’m on the right dose. He seems to think that’s ok for me.

Treatment - radiation vs. surgery
Hello, I posted previously after I was first diagnosed and had some great feedback. I wanted to try once more after being able to spend the past couple of months researching and trying to make the best treatment decision moving forward. For anyone similarly affected, it might help to reflect on what

Private Consultation Findings - thoughts on next steps
Hello everyone. I am looking for some advice and experiences on Dienogest / Zalkya. Diagnosed in 2022 via lap by general gynae and never prescribed anything. Own GP has tried me on contraceptives & meds for pain management, which nearly tipped me over the edge. After a scare with my mental health,

ADT 's effect on body fat and muscle mass from Life on ADT blog by Richard Wassersug

Stability of NDT at 5C - stored in the fridge
Hello lovely people I am an idiot! It’s official. I’ve been storing my NDT in the fridge instead of at room temperature. Efra (the manufacturer) have said they have no data to confirm if it’s still effective, so said I should stop taking it. That’s £300 worth of NDT, which I just cannot afford to throw

How long to Castrate Resistance: ADT+/- ARSI
Further discussion on details of EMBARK study on another HU forum bears restating here (IMO). For high risk BCR (and beyond) ADT combined with ARSI (in this case enzalutamide) is clearly superior to either monotherapy. However, development of castrate resistance between ADT + Enza vs. Enz monotherapy

ADT Holiday Coming To An End
After nearly 2 years of undetectable while on ADT holiday my 10/2 PSA result was 0.1. Today, 10/23 my PSA was .19. Seems like a rapid doubling time. Sent result to my MO. Waiting for a response.
