Yes,that is always the case, as far as we know.

You cannot get Lu177 as an initial therapy. The FDA did not approve it for this indication. There may be a clinical trial though.

This treatment will be done in Germany.

In Germany the guidelines do not recommend Lu177 as a primary therapy. But there are a few doctors who will do it, can you please mention where it will be done?

From what I know it can be very effective when applied early so I will not recommend against it. When there are bone mets a Lu177/Ac225 Tandem therapy will be more effective than a Lu177 monotherapy.

Now this really breaks my Christmas ornaments. We get a new user "2jznt54" who asks a question (no bio), You answer the question and ask him/her your own question. So what does "2jznt54" do? He/she ignores you......... what a piece of work?....

Not sure yet, planning on trying some private clinics instead of major hospitals in Germany. My dad just got diagnosed, gleason 9, psa 550 with bone mets. Trying to help him, plan a wedding and close on the house I'm building while working full time at the hospital I work at... Have a LOT going on and trying not to have a mental breakdown. He gets his psma scan today & had his first ADT shot yesterday. Sorry about your Christmas ornaments?

If there are bone mets, you should add Zytiga or Xtandi to ADT. That is the SOC now. A clinic that will treat you dad is curanosticum.de/en/services...

Look into the PSMAddition trial. If he qualifies it will be a lot easier and less expensive than Germany.

My DH is going down this same road, but didn't qualify for PSMAddition. If we had it to do over again he would start ADT ASAP and then go to Germany because the drugs cause an increase in PSMA expression for a period of time and they're thinking now that it makes the Lu-177 work better.

The PSMAddition trial is no longer recruiting.

Oh, didn't know that. I think getting the Lu177/Ac225 combination therapy in Germany would be difficult.

If you find a clinic which applies Lu177 early, they will probably offer Lu177/Ac225 as well on request. Ac225 is more difficult to get for the clinic compared with Lu177.

Absolutely can continue ADT after Lu177 treatment. I had 2 rounds of lu177 in 2020, but now on ADT which is still working.

had 4 sessions of Lu177 in Germany this year with great results, but my oncologists recommend I stay on Lupron quarterly injections, i have stopped Xtandi.

May I ask what was the cost?

actual treatment costs $17,500 per treatment.

The Embark trial showed that Xtandi monotherapy is more effective than ADT alone. healthunlocked.com/advanced... I personally would therefore get Xtandi monotherapy to get back my testosterone.
