Blood test

In reply to my previous post on blood test and gap between last dosage and blood test ,started taking Thyroid S NDT on 7th Sept starting with 1/2 tab increasing to 1 tab on 17th Sept 2 tabs on 20th Sept then 3 tabs on 29th Sept but felt brain malfunction and bodily weakness worse on 3 tabs so reduced to 2 tabs so I have been on this dosage since then. There has been no improvement no matter which dosage I take - Levo, NDT and T3 do not work on me so the inclusion is that there is something locked in my body which is a major hormone disruptor and it has affected my thyroid which explains why I do not feel any better just treating the thyroid. Private blood saliva and urine tests show there are very strong infections present in the body which the NHS have not traced or intend to take seriously.I have been taking supplements recommended by private clinic dealing with CFS they do not contain B12 Vit D Folate Ferritin - one mutivitamin/.mineral does contain Biotin so I stopped taking that 1 week ago to prepare for the blood test next Tues. I am self medicating , it is a private draw and it is the Medichecks full thyroid profile and it is purely for me. I have concentrated on all the vits/minerals relevant to the thyroid in the past and taken them up to optimum levels but that did not make me feel better.

I received RAI and this made CFS a lot worse so I do not enter into conversation with NHS GPs or endocrinologists about my thyroid .

It reads as though you gone up too quickly dosing with NDT.

Have your temperature, pulse and blood pressure changed at all since starting NDT :

What does this Clinic recommend, are they aware of your medical history and that you have had RAI thyroid ablation ?

Since we do not recommend multi vitamins and that is what you are now taking under the supervision of this Clinic I guess you need to choose - who to follow with regards to getting your health impoved.

Anyway - if the Clinic haven't advised you we suggest a fasting blood test around 10/12 hours since last dose.

The TSH is the least importnt reading - and if optimally medicated will likely be low suppressed - with a T4 likely lower than when on T4 monotherapy BUT with a T3 proportionately much higher.

No thyroid hormone replacemet works well until ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimum levels and down regulation of T3 can also be caused by inflammation, antibodies, any physiological stress ( emotional or physical ) depression, dieting and ageing.

7th Sept starting with 1/2 tab increasing to 1 tab on 17th Sept 2 tabs on 20th Sept then 3 tabs on 29th Sept

That’s much, much too quick to increase

Should have only increased by 1/4 of tablet 2-4 weeks after increasing to 1 tablet on 17th sept …

Wait at least 4 weeks before considering increasing another 1/4 tablet

Etc

Once on roughly correct dose wait at least 8-10 weeks before testing or considering changing

Meanwhile essential to maintain GOOD vitamin levels

What are your most recent vitamin D, folate, B12 and ferritin levels

Exactly what are these supplements?

I have been on Thyroid s NDT for years. I have no thyroid. I started with just a half and raised up every 10 days. Once on 2 grains, wait, you carried onto 3 grains too quickly.

Once on 2 grains for a few weeks have a blood test. TSH, FT4 and FT3. to see what your levels are and how you feel.

I take mine in the am and after lunch i.e. split doses. Just a quarter is enough to sometimes make a difference. You may need 2.25 or 2.25 to feel well.
