PET results!
hi everyone! My dad was diagnosed with MBC in May of 2022 to bone. He is currently on Ibrance, letrozole, lupron, and xjeva. He just had his first pet scan after starting treatment and it shows that all of his previous lesions that lit up on the PET scan have resolved. (Primary breast tumor and bone

Anyone using Estrogel with success to relieve horrible hot flashes?
On ronrons advice and experience I decided to give estrogen replacement a try. I get horrible hot flashes every hour that leaves me drenched in sweat. I stopped taking lupron 6mo ago hoping that was the biggest culprit. Last blood test still showsT <12. I take 500mg of zytiga and 5mg of prednisone

Xtandi-Lupron Side Effect Questions
My husband is 81, diagnosed spring of 21 with metastatic PC. PSA of 89. By July 21 they had him on Lupron and Xtandi by September. His numbers went way, way down so they were able to cut him back to half the Xstandi to help with dizziness issues that Xstandi & Flomax were causing, that helped but numbers

lymph nodes
After prostate surgery 2007, radiation 2009 general area, PSA went up 4.6. Started on Lupron, hot flashes, very very tiredness, switched to Casodex. PSA went down back up and dow again, from .23 to .83 recently. Went in for nuclear scan, showed lymph nodes only area positive. What is the treatment now

Ki scores
hello. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone knows their Ki score and what their oncologists say about predictability in outcomes. My fathers Ki score is 67-70% which Google has informed me is high. I think this means that it is very Chemo sensitive. Does anyone else have a high Ki score and how

Using Lupron for diagnostic tool????
Was wondering why you couldnt use a 1 month lupron injection for diagnostic testing for a guy who had a clean biopsy twice, had PSA going up and down over time around 10. I know its not SOC. but what is the harm in giving the injection and see if the PSA drops significantly? Would that not reveal

Will Medicare pay for ADT treatment?
I’m 62 and still working with good insurance. I recently started Lupron and Zytiga. I plan on retiring at 65. Will Medicare pick up the cost for that treatment? Thanks

CDC73 mutation?

Completed brain radiation. A Tempus test revealed a CDC73 mutation, normally associated with thyroid cancer (thyroid checks

actual castration instead of ADT
I’m just throwing this out for discussion. I’m 62 in good over shape and recently started Lupron and Zytiga. I am told I will be on these or some form of ADT for the rest of my life. Since the goal is to eliminate testosterone wouldn’t it make sense to remove the source of it? By doing so one could

Short Term or Long(er) Term ADT With Salvage RT
Hi all, Need thoughts on whether my physician is on the right track recommending only 6 months of ADT (Lupron). I'm early 60s and very fit. Just completed salvage radiation to PB and PLN and 6-month Lupron shot. Radiation therapy began 6 months following RALP. Happy to get off ADT (usual side effects

mpc stage 4. I am on Lupron and Xtandi
I have been having an urge to urinate but not much urine comes out. I get up 4 to 5 times at night. I am scheduled to see my oncologist next month. I was wondering if these meds are the cause.

Lupron Shot Site
Is there any reason other than soreness issues to rotate Lupron injection sites? My husband had his last two injections in his left hip. He says it doesnt bother him as much as his right. He gets one every three months. This was the first time he did two in a row the same side. Thank you

Difference in the Performance Envelopes of 1 Month, 3 Month and 6 Month Lupron Shots
Difference in the Performance Envelopes of 1 Month, 3 Month and 6 Month Lupron Shots I recollect being told by someone here that there is a difference in the Performance Envelopes of 1 Month, 3 Month and 6 Month Lupron Shots. That shorter shots provide more stable serum levels. My recollection of

next step more Lupron?
I just finished 38 rounds of radiation to the pelvic bed and abdominal lymph nodes. My last Lupron shot will be out of my system in December, and I am taking Xtandi. My last PSA was 0, and testosterone was 7. Side effects include extreme fatigue and sciatica pain. I am scheduled to see my urologist

Is the end in sight?
I have fought stage 4 metastatic hormone resistant prostate cancer for 6 years so as to make sure I don't get where I am at now. sitting in a chair looking out the window unable to do anything, wondering if my end date is close. Two weeks ago, my abdomen became distended and very painful. The diagnosis
