Is there any reason other than soreness issues to rotate Lupron injection sites?
My husband had his last two injections in his left hip. He says it doesnt bother him as much as his right. He gets one every three months. This was the first time he did two in a row the same side.
Thank you

not really other than the soreness you can pick either side, i get eligard in the stomach area, always right side, hurtd fir 15 seconds and no big deal.
Hello, I've been getting Lupron shots for almost 3 years. The key to it not hurting so much is to rela. The leg the shot is given in, I actually lift my eg off the floor. At the same time wriggle your fingers on the same side. Not scientific, but one of the nurses told me to do it that way and it really helps. Good luck
Thank you for that. Will tell him to try the finger wiggle, anything helps. The actual injection doesnt bother him, but he's a bit sore afterward. Not a big deal for him. They have him take all the weight off of his leg before they give the shot. I'm such a worrier, i wasnt sure if it was as "effective " or if it could damage tissue if the site wasnt rotated. Good to know its just a "comfort" issue.
I've gotten lupron for 4 years. I get an LUPRON injection every 6 months. I' ve gotten in my but and in abdomin. I prefer the but. Either way the sorness goes away. I' m on ABIRATERONE PLUS PREDNISONE. My PSA has been under 0.1.
