5 year diagnosis anniversary!
I just passed my 5 years diagnosis anniversary, and I’m happy to report that my treatment has been durable and my PSA remains < 0.01. At diagnosis, I had a PSA of 211, an alk phos above 900, multiple Mets, a Gleason of 9 (5+4), and a wonky, non-hereditary PTEN gene. My treatment from day 1 has been

Weakness in legs/calf muscles?
Me...stage 4 PC with bones mets. Just finishing first 6 months on Lupron. Despite regular leg exercises, I have incredible weakness in legs/calf muscles, making it very difficult to walk. Anyone else experience this? Is this caused by Lupron? Any solutions? Thank you.

Pluvicto and tongue and taste issues
Previously posted the below message. Just had third Pluvicto infusion (6/9) and tongue and taste issue has gotten worse. Tried all suggestions from Oral Medicine at Dana and suggestions on HealthUnlocked. Has anyone experienced this issue and if so, any further suggestions. Your input always appreciated

Hormonal injections and oral hormones
Hi guys, we talked so much about oral hormones like Casadox, Xtandi, etc. being castration resistant. 1. Can hormone injections like Lupron, Zoladex, etc. be also castration resistant? 2) if Lupron or Zoledex can be castration resistant, how do we know which one — hormonal injections or oral hormones

QoL Book Recommendation?
I'm 75 and four years ago, upon my Dx, my oncologist reluctantly guessed I had 3-4 years. Thankfully, I've reacted great to Erleada and Lupron, with few side effects. My PSA gradually dropped from 67 to undetectable and has held there steady for three years. Obviously, I've been grateful, but stupidly

Lupron injection error?
My most recent Lupron injection started with the nurse going to give me a monoclonal antibody injection until I pointed out I wasn't to get that. Then I think she missed the deltoid. The injection was close to if not into the tendon at its insertion. Will the depot be good for 3 months given here

Stable PSA, deep fall testosterone lab results.
At this point I am only getting Lupron injections every four months. Zytiga and Prednisone stopped two months ago. PSA un changed at 1.06 for the last 4 months, testosterone down from 100 last month to 17 yesterday. Kindly asking, what will be the point of starting on Xtandi and get exposed to its nasty

BRCA2 and prostate cancer
My husband has the BRCA2 gene mutation. We’ve known this since 2015 and that he was at a higher risk for prostate cancer which he now has. Ten people from the two generations above him died from cancer including his mother. His PSA has been inching up over the years and is now at 22. He is 67 years old

Cyberknife For Periaortic Lymph Nodes
I’m going to be starting RT in September for my prostate and pelvic LN mets (2). My RO doesn’t want to use EBRT on my periaortic LN mets (2), he feels like they’re to near organs. I’m thinking of Cyberknife for those mets. I’ve had chemo and I’m on Lupron and Nubeqa. My last PSA was 0.055. I’m feeling

Pluvicto Update
I have had 3 treatments now and unfortunately the pain has increased significantly each week. My PSA has continued to rise also. Had a PSMA SCAN yesterday (Tuesday 30th May) and received the results same day. The news is that the disease has spread completely into my ride hemi pelvis. I knew the news

The final Bday update
I got up at 7:30 and took off to Serra Cross area, it's right next to the Botanical Gardens. Boy, it was a long climb, but at least this was at sorta sea level and not 8600 ft like Big Bear was. Just roamed up and around the neighborhoods, looks like Condos/Apts up there with Fantastic views https:

Hello, everyone. During the last few months, while waiting for my father's scans to be done, I have read hundreds of posts and profiles of people on this board. I have been trying to gain some knowledge and courage to face the situation in front of me, often searching for the most difficult cases

biclutamide without lupron?
I have high psa and am waiting on a psma in 12 days, then meeting with a oncologist. Urologist want to start biclutamide and lupron now. I am concerned about side effects. Read some older studies 2017-2019 saying biclutamide as a monotherapy was a good option. Any opinions out there? Thanks Pj
