My partner's story
Surprisingly she didn't rule-out
NSAIDs
, which I thought were out of the question.

Two stages or types of HIV infection?

Does this sound like a stomach ulcer?
As I’d been taking
NSAIDS
fairly regularly over the past year my doctor recommend I start a PPI medication and for a week or so my symptoms had totally gone, but could have been a coincidence. I remained on PPI twice a day but the symptoms came back.

Struggling to get any doctors to listen to me.
I am currently on a round of 500mg Naproxen x2 a day (Prescribed by GP) to combat some swelling I have in my knee, but the consultant didn’t suggest anything I could try after this - I understand that long term use of such high doses of
NSAIDs
can cause stomach perforations but he just shrugged it off

Pleurisy. How long to cycle NSAID?
Hello and good morning or good evening depending on where you are in the world. So, here it goes, first time forum user here. And what has brought me here, well, desperation really. I have been experiencing symptoms of pleurisy for the last 2 weeks, which I have been treating with NSAID's and Paracetamol

Deeply grateful to all the replies about agonising shoulder pain
I previously suffered from duodenitis when taking
nsaids
, and was diagnosed by gastroscope, which involved large doses of Lansoprazole, so I am now careful and just took a few Ibuprofen instead of upping the Pred.

Should I skip aspirin after a covid vaccine?
Because they gave a leaflet that says try to avoid
nsaids
like ibuprofen and aspirin is part of that family right? I’m thinking of just skipping for a few days but I’m not sure if that is advisable. Is anyone here had the same experience?

Are there any anti-inflammatories that are safe with afib?
I'd not thought about it since, just taken paracetamol instead but I have other serious health issues that are getting a bit much for me to manage and
NSAIDS
may help to take the edge off.

Meloxicam /nsaids
Hi everyone, I know as soon as I had my HA and 3 stents fitted I was told I must not continue taking Meloxicam which I took for gout related very stiff joints/ bursitis in the knees. All had been well post HA until my cardio stress test/ long story short, my knee became inflamed, I am 6 weeks later,

Turmeric instead of a blood thinner?
I also have paroxysmal afib treated with propafenone but I’m not on a blood thinner due to daily dosing of
NSAIDs
to help manage the arthritis pain. Appreciate any responses. Best to all, John

Fatigue
My joints ache, I have arthritis and all my
NSAIDS
were stopped when I had the HA and not sure new meds are making things worse? Paracetamol not helping much. I am allowed to drive again today but feeling too tired to even drive or read a book.

BILOLOGICS TNF INHIBITORS
When discussing treatment options I asked about Biologic treatments as
NSAIDs
have never really worked for me. The rhuematologist told me that I am not eligible for them as my MRI did not show inflammation in the spine...not having axial SpA basically that they can currently prove.

Should I ask to see rheumatologist?
I was then referred back to GP care and just on
NSAIDs
until a major flare up in 2008. I was put on methotrexate for about 8 months which gradually brought down my ESR and CRP again then weaned off and again referred back to GP care, and solely on
NSAIDs
.

Newbie with possible GCA
The problem is that it comes back the day after and I really don't want to spend my life taking
NSAIDS
, especially given the complications that they bring. I've read somewhere that these painkillers shouldn't work with GCA, but you never know.

Brick wall is bigger than ever
(I never noticed this) My kidney function is now 60% so can no longer take naproxen or any other
NSAIDS
my bloods have “returned” to normal limits. Blood pressure on exam was : 141/101 - I’m normally around 118/70 - maybe I’m just overly stressed. Who knows. So now I don’t no what to do.

Nutritionists?
He told me I only need avoid
NSAIDS
and salt. What do you think? I disagree. I do not think Medicare will pay for this when GFR is 50 or below if it was something that was not useful
