Long time no see!
The not-so-good news is that my OA is bad, causes quite a bit of pain (despite the
NSAIDs
) and has mangled my feet. But I have PIP, a blue badge and NHS-built special shoes, and have so far managed without the surgery that I'll eventually need.

Stage 3 CKD
I used
NSAIDs
for 20 years which I suspect caused this. I have immediately stopped taking them. My GP says I have absolutely nothing to worry about as this Stage is a monitoring stage and very common. I am however very anxious and can’t put it out my mind. Can anyone put my mind at ease ?

Anyone tried acupuncture? Did it help?
I have tried many things, PT,
NSAIDS
, without relief. However, in my desperation to find respite, I decided to try acupuncture. I have gone twice now. The first treatment seemed to make the pain worse, but the second treatment has given me cause for hope.

Enzymes again...
Another interesting statement they made was that next to gluten,
nsaids
are the second cause of leaky gut in their opinion. When you have undigested food particles leaking out of the gut all sorts of problems arise.

New here... questions
(
NSAIDs
were not helpful at all prior to prednisone) 3) OR, does the work week and shoveling snow this weekend cause the symptoms to worsen despite the prednisone. New at this, not certain what to think, was happy to have a diagnosis and a treatment for whatever it is that is going on.

Read this...first I heard of it..just water is o.k.?
https://www.gicare.com/medication/prednisone/ One thing I read is that it won't cause an ulcer on its own but if you already have one from
NSAIDs
or other reasons it can make it worse...not that hard to take it with a bit of food anyway..

CBD Oil / Cannabis use
A lot of research has been conducted on CBD Oil and it has been shown to be a powerful anti-inflammatory without any of the nasty side effects that come from taking Steroids and

Low dose naltrexone for pain
I can't take codeine or
nsaids
and paracetamol doesn't cut it. Haven't tried CBD oil yet. I have a very low BP and POTS/dysautomonia so my digestive system gives me lots of problems. I am OK if I can pace but sometimes that just is not possible and I am living less than half a life that way anyway.

Review- how do you know if this is as good as you will get on a treatment?
I can’t take
NSAIDs
due to a stomach condition and choose not to take codeine or opiate based painkillers due to problems with side effects. I have limited reserves and can do less than I used to.

I have been on prednisone, non steroids and
