I am 72 years old in fairly good health. Elevated PSA in the 5-7 range lead to a MRI which showed no abnormally and later a biopsy on September 16, 2022. Q & A with my husband's MO
I'm posting this in case someone finds it helpful. The scans show visceral as well as bone mets. That plus a steep rise in his PSA and the start of chemo really soon have us in a sober state of mind. Continuing to lean on Jesus for strength. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wXoa3LDjRUyZ4dE9wLJQAg32jRcEISF4v3KeSOT83gg

Clean PET/CT Scan - Why no treatment change?
I was diagnosed Stage 4 in 2019 and have been getting Lupron shots and taking Erleada ever since. My PSA went down to undetectable within about six months and has stayed there. I have very mild side effects (other than the loss of libido). I had bone scans in 2019 and 2020. The 2020 scan showed significant

Prostate cancer morphed into NEPC
I was recently blindsided by my "under control" prostate cancer, turning into High Grade Neuroendocrine Prostate cancer (NEPC). After 13 years of various therapies, the last few years included Lupron/Eligard, Zytiga, Xtandi. This kept the PSA low (around .2) and kept my MO happy. In 2021, I asked my

Information overload and now decision time!
Okay, so I am at that stage of making a decision. Mind you I am about to embark on a 10 week overseas 45th anniversary trip. Dr says that should be fine. So whatever decision i come up with now could change by late November. So then a month ago, I had 42 biopsy samples taken and 8 of them were found

Orgovyx stopped woking.
Started orgovyx 2 months ago. PSA went from 35 to 5 in first month. Second month, PSA went from 5 to 8. This month PSA is 18. Looks like cancer is castrate resistant. Anyone else had this problem. If so what did your doc switch you to and how is it working for you? I talked to my doc today, he said he

12-year post surgery PSA
Hi All, Hard to believe that it’s been 12 years since my prostatectomy. So many health issues since then that PCa has moved down my list of worries. My PSA for the prior 2 years was .008. This year’s result just back and it’s ticked up to .009. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but of

Switching from Abi to Enza?
Hi everyone, my father has been taking Abiraterone since 2.5 years now (along with prednisolone 5mg). It has nicely brought down his PSA from 500 to less than 1 and kept it steadily less than 1 since the past one year. He, of course, takes Lupron alongside. However, Abiraterone has resulted in some side

Update on 8/4 post from alperk
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Plarify scan showed only one active site in hip which was radiated, 35 grays in 5 fractions. PSA crept back up to 4.2 on 9/6 and scan showed again only one active site in nearly the same location
