oncologist said I'm cured

had a meeting with oncologist who did my treatment 2014,finished treatment 2016,locally advanced prostate cancer t3b no mo, he said that I have not got p/c that shocked me,surely he is just going on that my psa is undetectable, so that means I have to stop the things I have been taking to help me with p/c who else can I see and tell them what the oncologist said that I'm cured.

My RO said to me that he can't see why I would not be alive in 10 years.

I don't believe much what oncologists say about prognosis. I believe it is in our own interest to be more sceptical and to be pessimistic and careful.

Maybe you are cured but you should know that the cancer is living on testosterone and that will be a test to see if it will start growing again after testosterone injections. Be very careful.

I am not running around and screaming from happiness just because I was told that.

yeah, sounds dodgy, I will ask for another referral to endocrinologist and tell them what oncologist said, urology have never said I could have testosterone.

I have always taken pomi-t and modified citrus pectin, I am going to tell my gp what the oncologist said.
