It gets lonely and chemo curls suck!
People don't want to hear that you have lung cancer or about your lung cancer. My biggest beef, though, is still these darn chemo curls. I used to have beautiful hair and the darn cancer pills took my hair and turned it into a mess. I'm still alive and do 2 hours of exercises each and every day. I'm

Advice please
Has anyone had a heart and lung transplant and could tell me how your getting on? What is the life expectancy for this sort of transplant? I’ve been told I need one and will be priority. Very scared and was expecting this so soon. I am thinking what if I don’t have the transplant and the doctors are

PA when IFA and PCA test results are negative
Hi All, I commented on a recent thread that I thought some people had PA even when Intrinsic Factor Antibody test and Parietal Cell Antibody test results were both negative. I speculated that this could be due to an immunoglobulin deficiency leading to inability to produce certain antibodies. I've now

Your Voices, Part 2: “Scanxiety; it really is true”
Scans can be a scary time for everyone. Being unsure of what your scan results may bring can cause anxiety for those awaiting results, and even for those who have not yet had their scan. Scanxiety is the term given to this anxiety felt by those who are undergoing a lung cancer scan. Over the past few

GCA and tocilizumab withdrawal
Has anyone given up taking tocilizumab (Actemra) and remained in remission or did you get GCA back. Is there a program to reduce injections in stages?

Palliative Care
Nothing more to do palliative care it is just trying to live my best life possible. So I went to immeadiate care cause I felt I needed antibiotics and I got them and prednisone but also chest X-ray. Chest X-ray showed an area that could possibly be a cancer but I would be unable to with stand surgery

Sickle cell and?
I have sickle cell disease and just found out I have chronic fatigue syndrome also called ME. I wanted to find out what other conditions people are dealing with plus sickle cell and how you cope. I have 3 children so I guess you will have an idea as to how I am struggling to cope.

Copd and lung transplant
Last time I I saw my consultant he mentioned having a transplant I sort of froze. I have read about it on as much as I dare. Suppose I'm scared. How long are you in hospital how successful is the op. How long are you in hospital for.

Lungs are a go-go after encouraging lung check-up
On Wednesday I had my first lung function tests since my pneumothorax back in January. Today I went through the results with my new consultant who told me the brilliant news that there had been no change to my lung capacity or transfer based. The consultant also told me that based on Wednesday's results
