Good ole derm venting
So I got this wonderfully demarcated rash last week. Started as blisters and small red circles. Quickly spread all over the elbow and then flattened to a red raised lesion with some scabbing. Rash burns but it does not itch. Was thinking psoriasis, eczema or something. So I got to derm and they biopsy

Has anyone had a a delayed allergic reaction to MTX?
I developed a toxic contraindication after about 5 years of taking it, and its affected my lungs (fibrosis), as well as caused some other very strange symptons thats affected my eyes, and some other organs. The docs have confirmed that I am allergic to it - but are less sure about the other ailments

Not every breathing symptom is asthma!
Tentatively posting this because it’s perhaps controversial on an asthma forum - but it is also really important. It’s often assumed that any breathing symptom is asthma - those who have asthma assume it’s that because they have asthma therefore it must be that; those who don’t have asthma assume they

Hayfever and AF
I am suffering with very bad Hayfever and thinking of taking over-the-counter Loratadine to get some relief. However, I am slightly concerned with the side effects:- 1 in 10,000 fast or irregular heartbeat. Does anyone suffer with this or have taken Loratadine? Would be grateful for any help

How can I find out if I could be allergic to levothyroxine. If so, what is the alternative?

Controlled asthma & allergies- reducing meds
Hey guys, I’m currently on a range of meds for my allergies and asthma. Since being on Xolair, my asthma and allergies are so well controlled that both my Respiratory Specialist and Immunology Consultant are happy to start reducing my meds gradually. Has anyone reached this stage of their treatment

Hypothyroidism and Histamine issues
How many of you have improved with histamine issues after starting thyroid meds? Did they get better or worse? How about allergies? Thank you.

Weight loss +30kg - Problem with allergies
Hello all! This is my first post! Has anyone else found any good diet or a way to drop weight to about 30kg in less than a year? I would love to hear about them. I’ve gone really well for a year now and dropped almost that much. My problem with those diets has been that they often contain foods to which

NHS App: Mystery 'Allergies'
Exploring the NHS app on my phone, as I should get a Covid jab record next week, and looking at the information in my health record. Not much in there, but I open 'Allergies and adverse reactions' , expecting to see 'Coeliac' or 'Gluten', possibly. Nope. Two listed: 1) Allergic disorder (Xa1pQ) - Certain

Hay fever sucks
Feel like I need to rant. 6 weeks after finishing a nine week course of steroids. To now be once again full of hay fever that’s making me feel rubbish and setting off my asthma off again so back on pred for a week. Nothing gives me a break or any long term control. As this is happening like every six

Hay fever!
So, hay fever is really starting to get the better of me on these runs. The last two times I’ve been out I feel like I’ve been breathing in treacle. Any tips out there from other hay fever sufferers? I already take daily antihistamines but any other advice would be very gratefully received!

Hayfever Misery
After being inventive and starting off in my house due to hayfever, I haven’t been able to do any more as the pollen count down here must be particularly high at the moment. Anti-histamines, eye drops, nasal spray and inhalers .... and I’m still suffering. So, I’m putting things on hold till I stop

Excessively dry nose with anti histamines
Hi hope you’re all feeling well. I have rhinitis and post nasal drip along with my asthma. I’ve tried to take anti histamines which do stop the runny nose, but my nose then gets too dry which is uncomfortable and I feel I can’t breathe as well as usual. Does anyone else have this? I’m taking cetirizine
