Endo & UC
Hello all! I have a question! Has anyone ever been misdiagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis or an IBD, when really it could be an extent of their Endo sneaking into the bowel? Around 2 and a half years ago I started getting rectal bleeding, painful cramps and abdominal pain, after an emergency sigmoidoscopy

Mixing Mirena and Zoladex etc
Hi, I have a question: can I have Mirena and other jabs at the same time? I remember my consultant was talking about it as if having them together. Anyone having two different types of hormone treatment to get a maximum effect?

Scheduled for first laparoscopy march 31st. What to expect?
Ok so I was diagnosed last year with a 4cm endometrioma on my left ovary which was 'probably' (consultants word) stuck in pouch of Douglas. Due to work providing private healthcare š I arranged to see a new consultant who then put me onto zoladex. During zoladex I had 2 scans and first one showed new

Endo and Zoladex
I am losing weight on Zoladex Hi Iām new to this site so I will give you a quick overview. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and abdominal adhesions in October 2014. I had painful symptoms for almost a year and after the laparoscopy to diagnose and treat the endo as well as the adhesions I was hopeful

Adenomyosis and Zoladex - anyone had a positive experience?
Hi everyone I'm interested to hear about anyone's experiences on Zoladex for adenomyosis. I'm trying to get pregnant with IVF and my consultant has already given me one course (4 months) of Zoladex. Side effects are not nice (hot flushes, sleeping problems), and my periods returned with a massive vengeance

A little ditty about pain
Hi all :) I'm new at posting on here but I've spent many months reading a lot of your posts and have gained from reading other people's stories and the replies that have been given. Whilst I never wish chronic pain or illness on anyone, sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone and that other people

zoladex or hysterectomy?
I have just had my 7th laparoscopy for endo, and my consultant has suggested my options now are hysterectomy or zoladex. I am in so much pain and have put up with this miserable thing for so long I am leaning heavily towards the hysterectomy. I am extremely blessed to have children, but I have not yet

Feeling pretty fed up :(
Just felt like i wanted to rant a bit, so apologies for anyone who reads this. I was first diagnosed with Endometriosis back in 2010, by going for a laparoscopy. Since then i have had two more laparoscopies. Each where they found endo round my bowel, bladder, and in the Pouch of Douglas. Now its all

Zoladex
Hi I am having zoladex injections prior to my hysterectomy and bowel resection. Although I have had very few hot flushes I do have terrible joint pain but wanted to know if zoladex affects sleep. Since having these injections I am struggling to stay asleep at night and wondered if anyone else has experienced

Consultant today
I've seen my consultant today following surgery to remove cyst and some endometrioma cut out from my right ovary. He also discovered my left tube has hydrosalpinx but my right is fine. I've been on zoladex for the past three months. He gave me the choice of staying on it or coming off, I chose coming

Best treatment: Get pregnant
Yesterday 16th Feb, I saw my OBGYN and once more was strongly advised to get pregnant at-least twice so I could have a hysterectomy. This I have heard for the last 5 years since being diagnosis with Endometriosis. I remember so clear being at working in a research clinic in 2007 and having this pain

Zoladex before hysterectomy
Hi all! Does anyone know if you have to take a course of zoladex before having a hysterectomy? I have a gynae appt coming up and I'm trying to do some forward thinking. I have stage 4 endo with bowel involvement and possibly adenomyosis. My next appt is decision time about whether to have a hysterectomy

Zoladex Injection side effects??
Hi guys. I have been on the injection and livial hrt. I started the first 3 months getting it once every 4 weeks. But when I went back to my consultant he has changed it to once every 3 months. I haven't been too bad with side effects like some "flushes" in the evening. I am however feeling really

Hey my first time to comment, on 4th month of zoladex injection for endometriosis and getting severe pain in lower back and pelvis on all different pain relief. Has anyone else found this happening? The pain is really horrid but the gynae says it's the endo shrinking. TIA xx
