Neutropenia and Prolia

Has anyone got Neutropenia from using Prolia or heard about it. I have now got mild Neutropenia after one injection. Wondering if it is the Prolia. I am not going to have another injection.

I am new to the forum. I have been on most of the treatments over a good number of years.

I do not have and not heard of Neutropenia.

I have a low lymphocyte count this was picked up on after my 2 year course of Forsteo.

Lymphocytes are also a type of white blood cell.

I also have had 1 injection of Prolia and have decided not to go ahead with another owing to the bad side effects I have had,and are still experiencing.

I have just discovered from your question that among the causes of low lymphocytes are Opioids and some Biphosphonates!!!!

Just to clarify I was on 3 monthly injections of ibandronate for 3 years before I had the Forsteo.

I also had 2 injections of ibandronate in 2017.

My blood tests over many years have shown my white blood cells to be low.

Maybe now with the help of your question I have found the answer as to why.

This has been investigated by rheumatologist and also neurologists and they have never been able to discover the cause.
