Alternative Dosing Schedule for Ibrance

I happened upon this clinical trial they are doing for the 5/2 dosing and it mentioned some things I've never heard before about WHY this may be more effective in stopping neutropenia, hope I spelled that right! Anyway, I will most likely start it soon so I'm reading EVERYTHING which is my curse LOL God bless and heal us all in Jesus name, amen! <3 to all!

Thanks for sharing this. Sounds like a very viable alternative to the current dosing. My wbcs are in the toilet this month and I am dragging

Great! When my onc fills my prescription, whenever that may be, I think I will do this alt schedule myself; he has made it clear that he doesn't give a hoot about me, first making me wait an extra month to see him and then not filling my prescription when I left word with his office that I wanted to go ahead and start the ibrance, so ... I CARE about me! I should probably find another doctor but I have gotten criminally lazy, if there is such a thing, I DO feel guilty, I am so lazy LOL <3

Thank you for sharing this clinical trial. I would be very interested in the outcome. When you mentioned you would be starting it soon, did you mean you were starting the clinical trial or did you mean you were going to try the regiment? I remember you are on Letrozole. Was onc also recommending Ibrance and you're now just waiting approval? I empathize with you feeling ignored by your onc; I'm beginning to feel that way too.

I found this study about 3-4 months ago and have been on a 5/2 schedule since then. My neutrophils have been within the normal range since.

Wow I’m consistently below 1 on neutrophils and asked what long term effects were. I will share this study. Glad to hear you have improved.

Hello! I hope this works and will be following you -please let me know what dosing they are doing as I often thought there might be another way to deal with the wbc issues and anemia. God bless you! ❤️

We dropped my ibrance from 125 mg to 100 mg and my WBC came up with great results! I found a research paper about dosing and my Oncologist had read it as well. And my cancer is disappearing!

Thanks so much for posting this. This might be the answer to my neutropenia! The clinical trial says that there be results in March 2019. Any idea if they have released the results?

Maria

I didn't see any posted results and am also very curious to hear!

The study will be completed in 2021; I'm thinking they release results then. I don't know, I'll keep looking for a sneak peek <grin>. God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!

You're welcome. I went back and looked and trial ended March 2019, but study will not be completed until February 2021. Hope this helps! God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!

i hope and pray this is your answer too. This study will be completed in February 2021; I'm thinking that's when the results will be released but I don't know. God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen!

My Oncologist has dropped my Ibrance to 7 days on, 7 days off because of the side effects hitting so hard on day 10 or 11. And if that's too harsh, I can do 5 on, 2 off. Whatever I'm comfortable with as long as I keep it in my system for the next 3 months. My latest scan this week showed a miracke, my cancer is nearly gone and we anticipate complete healing!

That is wonderful. What else are you doing to

Keep yourself healthy? Special diet? Exercise? Sunshine? Water? Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the info. Good to know there are a variety of dosing options to deal with what Ibrance is doing to our blood.

Let us know about the trial results.

Thanks,

Marianne

You're welcome! I'm glad I found it. It says the trial ended March 5, 2019, but study won't be completed until February of 2021. I am new to all of this so I reckon the 2021 date is when results will be released; but since doctors are already using this schedule and women are having success with it, well that says a lot to me. God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen! <3

Hello! Hope you are doing well!Three years later I’m here to tell you that the alternative dosing schedule is a “thing” and I’ve decided to try it…I’ve had difficulty with fatigue and depression after 21 days on the 100mg…needed 14 days off to recover and felt awful for about 6 of those days…so here’s the link that you were waiting forhealthunlocked.com/redirect...

Hope you are still well and fighting the good fight. 🥰

thanks for the info; I may have to go that route again. so far so good but I need to have some tests done and get checked out coz it's been over a year now and all I've been doing is keeping up with my CA 27.29 test and taking letrozole DAILY, oh and calcium, D3 and fenbendazole. Was taking the letrozole every other day, and the bad test results got my attention so taking it the right way now; and so far I can still use my thumbs, which was the issue before! CA test was really high last month, after dropping under 40 before so back on the cancer testing merrygoround for awhile maybe ..... I have really serious dr. issues after we caught them lying about a procedure they did on my husband that caused a heart attack; they said they never did THAT, and that has ruined my confidence in doctors/hospitals. It's miserable and I wish it had never happened, but it did, and it has affected me negatively. In GOD we trust, all others pay cash, is what hubby says! Thanks again for thinking of me. Feel pretty good, no aches or pains much, they come and go .... God bless you and stay well in Jesus name, amen! xo

my other problem is I can't remember anything .... but I've been that way all my life. while awaiting the release of the phase two trial for the 5/2 schedule, I came upon this old post from 4 years ago. wrote this before the chest pains started evidently but thank God for old posts because they can remind us of days and times! God bless you and heal us all in Jesus name, amen! xo
