Unsuccessful pain management
Hi everyone, Last night I ended up being taken into my local A + E by ambulance after ringing 111. I’m on the second day of my cycle and have been having my usual symptoms; sickness, headaches, fainting, diarrhoea and feeling extremely fatigued. The pain this month is the worst it’s been, it just seems

Parasym tVNS device
Has anyone tried the Parasym transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation device (tVNS)? Info at Parasym.co It’s still awaiting FDA approval here in the US, but is apparently cleared for use in England (where it was developed), as well as in Europe and other countries. Side effects of viral meningitis
Hi there. Just joined to ask a question. My son had viral meningitis at 4 weeks old and ended up on a ventilator for a week. Now he’s 5 and although fine physically I worry that he’s attention span and general concentration isn’t v good. Has anyone had experience of this? Could this b due to the meningitis

In patient pelvic pain treatment centers?
Hi, Does anyone know if there are in patient pelvic pain treatment centers? So tired of going from doctor to doctor to doctor and want everything looked at at once, ie: nerve blocks, diagnostics, peripheral nerve exams, alternative modalities, etc. Does this exist anywhere?

Anxiety and heart tachycardia
Hello everyone, I would like your opinion about something that happened to me this morning, I think it could help me. I am currently spending holidays in Greece and this morning while I was fitting my swimsuits I started to feel bad. I was having a tachycardia episode actually. I tried cold shower, breath

3 Months post viral meningitis
I’ve been a member for a few months now, trying to get advice from others or just to read everyone else’s stories. Here’s mine... The end of May I noticed I had swollen glands in the back of my neck and a bad headache. Took some ibuprofen and forgot about it. A few days later I was having neck pain along

Has anyone had a neuroma following pelvic surgery?
As my journey continues, nerve blocks aren't working well, no good relief, 8 months of acute pain.... now being sent to a doctor who cuts nerves and removes neuromas. Possibly nerve entrapments as well. I find any surgeries deliberately cutting nerves quite severe. Does anyone have experience with this

Occipital Nerve Block
I’m getting an occipital
nerve
block
done next week. Just wanted to ask anyone who’s had one what their experiences were, particularly if it caused them any problems in the couple of days afterwards as I’m away the weekend after.

Livia TENS machine from USA, little warning...
Hello ladies. I ordered one of these on the 1st August direct from their US website hoping it might help me. I still haven’t received it. It’s the 12th August today and I’m suffering badly with pelvic pain. I paid £169 for it including pads etc, and this money has already been taken from my credit card

Pelvic nerve entrapment/damage from surgery
Hello all, Has anyone here experienced post-pelvic-surgery nerve entrapment? My doctors are suggesting I might have nerve entrapment (ilioinguinal or gastric etc), but the nerve blocks are not really working. I had a laproscopic myomectomy in October and for 8 straight months have been in acute pain

Second bout of VM?
I contracted viral meningitis caused by HSV 2 in April 2019. Luckily was only in hospital a couple of days and was able to go home once they got the headaches and pain under control. I was sent home and instructed to take almost 3 grams of Acyclovir for 10 days. After the 10 days my primary care dr

A big decision , don't know what to do!
At first I was impressed they took it seriously had a lot of scans and a
nerve
block
in dec 2018 which helped my leg pain. Unfortunately my consultant has left for a year and there was a big gap before i saw his replacement in April this year.

Beta blocker sensitivity?
Hi all and many thanks to all who have helped me out with my various worries and woes etc in the last few years. I wonder if I can pick your brains and see if I can gauge consensus here or see if anyone has had similar issues. I’m 6/7 weeks since RF ablation (second one) and despite some phrenic nerve

Shingles Vaccine
My Rheumatologist has recommended that I get a shingles vaccination before starting biologics. Anyone else under 50 and received vaccine? Any adverse events? I’ve read mixed reviews since no studies have been conducted on safety of vaccine in patients with autoimmune disease. I am getting it tomorrow

Apixaban vs Warfarin?
My GP has just offered to put me on apixaban and take me off warfarin, he said that if I had presented now with my first episode of afib, I would automatically be put onto it and not warfarin. This sounds like an excellent idea because there are no dietary restrictions which as a veggie means I can

Heart Rate after exercise
I normally walk a couple of miles a day, and get my heart rate up to the maximum during the walk, as well as keeping it in the "training range" for 20-30 minutes. Yesterday, I walked with some friends who set an aggressive pace, and after I finished the walk, my heart rate would not come down below
