Response to Zytiga
Can anyone point me towards stats on how many men respond to Zytiga once the PSA starts to rise on Lupron/ casodex? Also, how long the average response is? Thanks ❤️🌈

Poor medication choice!
Avonex didn't work for me. I had multiple relapses of optic neuritis on it and feared losing my sight permanently. I would NOT recommend it and choose another medication, such as tecfidera, immediately.

Dry, itchy skin
Avonex has been so hard on my skin. Regular body lotion does nothing to relieve the dryness. How are those of you with dry, itchy skin handling it? I'd love some product recommendations!

Day of Reckoning
My husband was diagnosed in late December 2018 with PSA at 34, Gleason 10, and with all 11 cores that were retrieved positive and having between 40-80% involvement. After some delays due to insurance issues, the t3 MRI, CT scans, and bone scans, indicated that status is locally advanced with 3 pelvic

Any New Suggestions for Dealing With Increasingly Debilitating Cognitive, Affective and Physical SEs from ADT?
Dx advanced PCa in 12, 2016 at age 66. Gleason 4+4=8, PSA high was 20, one suspected met at hip. No other involvement beyond suspected perineural. 37 RT sessions and LD brachy mid 2017, at Dattoli Cancer Center (where Dr. Snuffy Myers was treated) 10 additional RT sessions to pelvic lymph nodes there

PSA
Initial treatment brought PSA from 1044 to 1.6. This month it had gone up to 2.4. He’s done upfront Docetaxel and is on Lupron and Casodex. What does a bump up mean? Is he castrate resistant now???

Weight loss - freaking out
My father lost almost 4kg in one month, with no change in diet, apetite or treatment, I'm freaking out. Of course I will make a doctors appointment the first thing tomorrow morning but I'm so scared. He is skinny by nature: only had 68kg, now to 64kg. History: diagnosed during turp procedure in Semptember

An Update To My Profile And Entering A New Phase In My Journey
I have just had my fourth Zoladex implant and this is a summary my progress since I posted my profile. After three months my PSA had dropped to 0.5 from its previous 1.0. I was having occasional blood in my urine but was told this should settle down. At six months my PSA was 0.4. I had begun to experience

Still Undetectable at 6 1/2 yrs..
tl;dr Xtandi is the new Casodex per my Doc The good news we got yesterday is I am still undetectable 6.5 years after diagnosis at Gleason 8. I am T3N1M0 (Stage 4A). Except for a vacation 1 year after my RP (very ugly pathology showing "particularly aggressive cancer) when my PSA showed a doubling time

Diagnosed in 1987 three years after my PhD defense and beginning R&D in biotechnology Industry.
Hello fellow folks dealing with the effects of MS. I was diagnosed quite a while ago, in1987. Initially, demyelinating disease, i.e. MS or multiple sclerosis, caused me great fatigue after I would come home from working a ten or twelve hour day. I was 30 years old and didn't even have a primary care

Frightened Daughter Needs Advice
My 84-year-old father was just diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. He has multiple lesions in his bones as well as lymph nodes in the pelvic area. Psa is14. We were shocked to hear as it had been active surveillance for so long and urologist wasn’t concerned. He just recovered from having stents

Introducing Myself
Greetings everyone. I am a 70 year old guy living in coastal South Carolina, USA. From the time I was 50, I had a PSA annually with normal results except one case of prostatitis that was easily cured. In June 2015 I was hospitalized while on a fishing trip in FL with prostatitis and sepsis and released

Muscle atrophy
My father experiences muscle atrophy. His whole life he was skinny (he can eat whatever he liks but never gains weight), but had muscles. Now that summer is coming and he is wearing short sleaves, I noticed his arms and chest became very weak. He was diagnosed in September 2016 after TURP procedure

Low Iron in Blood
Father has Low iron blood levels and he went from 0.06 PSA to 0.08 PSA in the last 2-3 months. Doc says that it is not relevant as it is a low difference. He was diagnosed in december 2017 with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer N1( in two nodes) and 2-3 mets in pelvis.I say 2-3 because the first doctor said he
