Casodex + Lupron (Blockers v Killers)
I am on the generic for Casodex + the Lupron shot. My question is: Since Casodex is the hormone receptor blocker and Lupron is the T killer, why not just take drugs that block T and skip the Lupron? If we get the T down and the PSA down, what if those results were from the hormones being blocked at

Casodex
My husband (metastatic PCa) has had encouraging results on Casodex monotherapy: in one month on 50mg/day his PSA plunged from 73 to 5.2. On the increased dose of 150 mg/day the following month (Pharmacy gave incorrect instructions) after one month it is now 1.6. He takes the generic form of the drug,

Xtandi stomach pain
Started my PC journey 9 years ago, diagnosed with Gleason 9, and a poor prognosis. I was told surgery was not an option and started radiation. 54 treatments kept my psa under 1.0 for almost 3 years, then Lupron on and of for another 3 years...very effective. Side effects were terrible but eventually

Would like to know about Casodex
What is the reason for adding Casodex for someone who is already on Lupron?

Back to whining
I had my Copaxone shot last night with no reaction. But today my muscles feel like I had Avonex. I feel sore as if I had worked out (I didn’t). My head hurts and I hurt ALL OVER. If I take more muscle relaxers then I will be DEEPLY DEPRESSED tomorrow and I am very sad already. I am so tired of being

Lucrin Side Effects
Has anyone developed a chronic cough and trying to clear throat whilst on Lucrin? My husband Bob has been on Lucrin, Casodex and Avodart for about a year, and for at least the last 3 months has a chronic cough. Had an X-ray & CT Scan but all clear. Cheers Lee

Aubagio usage
I am needing to switch my MS medication. I have been taking Avonex but it isn't doing the job. I am thinking about switching to Aubagio. Just wondering what others on it think of it. Thank you for any help.

Looking for Testosterone Information
I have had PC for 14 years mainly treated by radiation and hormonal control. Presently my PSA is stable at <.1. Two months ago I started a drug vacation stopping Casodex, Avodart and Metformin. My testosterone has declined from 158 to 95 since starting the vacation. My research tells me that my testosterone

Headaches vs. migraines?
Hi, While it probably doesn’t matter what you call them, headaches really stink! I seem to go through spells when I’ll have four days in a row and three have migraines. I’ve kept up with a calendar of the headaches, eliminated trigger foods (I don’t do chocolate, caffeine in soft drinks, etc.)

The Importance Of Regular Scans
Hi everyone. I am posting this here tonight because I feel that it is so important that all of you brave men ask for scans to be carried out regularly. In Paul's case, I think we could have discovered the liver mets sooner if a scan had been performed earlier. Now I am not saying that the doctors made

HELLO!! I'm new here!! I am from Washington State!!
Hello everyone :) I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS in October of 2008. I fell at work, hitting my head and being unconscious for a minute or so. Because L&I had to be involved, they sent me to various drs. One doctor noticed I had problems with standing up while in a squatting position.

Update on my situation and request opinion
I wrote 5 month ago asking for opinion on the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin possible effect on the testosterone available for PC cells. I had prostatectomy in 2004, external beam radiation in 2006 when PSA increased from 0.064 to 0.89. Resulting PSA 0.077. PSA 2.2 in late 2009 prompted an evaluation

Response to Zytiga
Can anyone point me towards stats on how many men respond to Zytiga once the PSA starts to rise on Lupron/ casodex? Also, how long the average response is? Thanks ❤️🌈

Poor medication choice!
Avonex didn't work for me. I had multiple relapses of optic neuritis on it and feared losing my sight permanently. I would NOT recommend it and choose another medication, such as tecfidera, immediately.

Dry, itchy skin
Avonex has been so hard on my skin. Regular body lotion does nothing to relieve the dryness. How are those of you with dry, itchy skin handling it? I'd love some product recommendations!
