Casodex
Saw my Oncologist on the 1st Nov, PSA has been 0.28 since I finished Chemo in May (originally 1386). I'm on Diphereline (ADT) for 12 months now and he just started giving me Casodex. I just wondered why he did this if everything is stable, any ideas?

Saw MO yesterday
Saw my MO yesterday, it's been 3 months and I was a little apprehensive because my pain has been increasing and I suppose you always worry a little around these times. PSA is still .028 so I'll assume the pain is maybe just the colder/damper weather. He gave me an infusion (cannot remember the name)

Continue on Lupron or try Casodex?
I was diagnosed with high risk PC and opted for radiation instead of surgery. I started on Lupron 30 days before treatments and have been on it a year or so now, 6 month shots. The side effects are getting worse as time passes. I can live with the 12-15 daily hot flashes but the fatigue, belly fat, and

Post 2, Strange couple of months
Thanks for all the great suggestions and advice with my last post. This is what happened after. A new scan( SPECT -CT) was done, before any further treatment was talked about. The scan showed that there is no cancer in the prostate,or lymph nodes anymore, but it is still visible in the hip bone, and

Radiation for nipple pain and breast buds
Anyone had radiation treatment for this? How effective is it? Typical side effects? Is there an optimal time to radiate? I will likely return to Lupron when my PSA starts to rise. I stopped Lupron and Xtandi one year ago. My testosterone returned at 236 four months later (April) and has continued

Avonex at 65
Hi, I've been on Avonex for about 15 years. I retired this year at the age of 65 and through my insurance company got 3 months of Avonex. I am at the end of my last refill. My neurologist has me switching to every 2 weeks until it runs out. The problem is Medicare does not cover the drug. When I called

Second opinion at Cleveland Clinic... different treatment plan
So, after my dad's increases in PSA over three month periods (.07, .13, .23) his oncologist suggested we start with Xtandi and sent us to see an oncologist at the Cleveland main campus regarding Provenge. Well, insurance decided that they weren't going to cover Xtandi and said it's Zytiga for you! So

DO I GO WITH CHEMO OR ADT DRUGS?
Recently diagnosed with PC with a PSA of 1800. It has metastasized to my bones with lots of mets in my back. Just finished radiation to the lower spine. Now on Lupron and Casodex, started treatment early August, and my PSA has gone down to 241. Still seems high, but in the right direction. The doc

Any correlation between hot flushes and effectiveness of ADT + Casodex
I started ADT + Casodex in November 2018 for my metastatic PCa in many pelvic and abdominal lymph nodes. Previously, I had Firmagon (three months) and two 3 month Lupron shots in 2016-2017 for extra-capsular- extension. In 2016, after the first Firmagon shot I had severe hot flushes, which gradually

Moving forward with treatment: Xtandi and Provenge
It's been over four years since my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 PC. It had metastasized to a single nearby lymph node and his PSA was 257. He underwent 6 rounds of chemo and has remained on Lupron and Casodex since. Six months ago his PSA was .07, than three months ago it was .13 and this past week
