New member seeking strength and hope
Greetings - I am a new member having spent the past week or so reviewing existing posts from other members battling this disease. I am so impressed with the wisdom and strength you fellows have and your seemingly undying positivity in the face of the reality of this disease and the harsh side effects

Prostate Cancer Drug Could Protect Bone Marrow from Damage Caused by Radiation

Casodex and high PSA
I have gone through most of usual suspects of treatments (including all listed in the MDAnderson standard protocol for all stages) the last being NUBEQA which just last week left me with a PSA of 130. My problem is extensive lymph node metastasis. Will Casodex work on this and at what level? Does 150mg

Greetings of the Season
Wishing all the brave warrior brothers and their supporters a peaceful and joyous Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, or whatever they celebrate at this season. May 2020 bring better days and new hope for the future. Through God’s abundant grace & mercy, my man is now at 0.1, doing very well on Casodex monotherapy

Oligometastatic PC and Radiation
Hello all. My 68 year old husband had a routine physical about six months ago that showed a PSA of 77. His PSA had not been tested for seven years prior (which infuriates me). He then had a biopsy that showed Gleason 9 (4+5) prostate cancer. Twelve samples were taken; only one sample was benign. Two

IRE-CT as a probable option
I've just returned from visiting the Vitus Clinic in Offenbach tp discuss a possible way forward. My circumstances: Experienced BCR late 2017. MO prescribed Casodex 150mg as monotherapy, which has kept PSA <3. Now has risen to 3.7 so time to act. PSMA scan and yesterday's MRI showed it's still localised

Advice for men who are about to start hormone treatment for metastatic prostate cancer?
I'm writing to request advice about what tests you would recommend I should get before and during hormone treatment, which I probably will begin sometime in the near future. The treatment will probably begin with Casodex and then add Lupron. I have an appointment early Wednesday morning with my urological

Monotherapy to gain extra survival.
I am wondering about studies where you only take one drug at a time to stretch out survival. In no order but for example Xtandi till it stops then ADT till it quits working then Zytiga etc. Would this not give you extra survival? Is the above sequencing. Does combining hurt Monotherapy effective time

Hair Loss
I've had 2 half doses and my hair is coming out in wads. My scalp itches horribly. I went to the Dermatologist to see if there was a skin problem -- or even cooties. 🤔 Nope, neither. I've always been told that I have pretty, naturally curly hair. It is thinning too. Is there anything on the market

Casodex
Saw my Oncologist on the 1st Nov, PSA has been 0.28 since I finished Chemo in May (originally 1386). I'm on Diphereline (ADT) for 12 months now and he just started giving me Casodex. I just wondered why he did this if everything is stable, any ideas?

Saw MO yesterday
Saw my MO yesterday, it's been 3 months and I was a little apprehensive because my pain has been increasing and I suppose you always worry a little around these times. PSA is still .028 so I'll assume the pain is maybe just the colder/damper weather. He gave me an infusion (cannot remember the name)

Continue on Lupron or try Casodex?
I was diagnosed with high risk PC and opted for radiation instead of surgery. I started on Lupron 30 days before treatments and have been on it a year or so now, 6 month shots. The side effects are getting worse as time passes. I can live with the 12-15 daily hot flashes but the fatigue, belly fat, and
