Tremor tremor

It has been 5 years since my Diagnosis and now 7 years living with PD or from my first symptoms thhat were a little tremor R/H, dry eye, loss of smell. I am now 73 and have posted and joined in others discussions here over the years and have great faith in what I read on many of your posts. Not to re-hash everything but I was prescribed C/L and Azalect 5 yrs ago and took them for 3 months before stopping and have been med free since. without writing out the huge list of products that made up my stack over the years, from the beginning and up till now the constants have been B1, NADH, NAC, Macuna P, Play golf(walking) 3 times a week and i follow a KETO diet. It is safe to say I am tremor dominant, I seem to be avoiding many of the more serious symptoms so far. To get to the point of this post, the tremor in my right hand/arm is fairly strong but I live with it and it is part of me and I am used to it, the tremor in my jaw started a year ago and I chew gum and it is not noticeable to most people but recently I see the tremor moving to my L/H slowly. My question is, and I ask because I lead a quite normal life and am terrified of putting it in jeopardy by going to a neurologist for the first time since my diagnosis and being prescribed something that will possibly make things worse for me and not effect the tremors. I have little trust in meds, I can live with a little stiffness, bit of drooling and a few other small problems, even the tremors but would like to know if anyone has a suggestion to slow down the progression of them or is it my time to concede and go to pill land😵

if only we knew what helps and what doesn’t. None of us have another self to act as a control and it’s about trial and error. Even if something works for one person, meds’ or supplements, it may not work for others. Sounds like you’re doing very well and if you can tolerate your symptoms well enough, then good for you.

hello - my husband has had Parkinson’s for the same length of time as you; he turned 69 this year

From all I’ve read on this forum and on the Facebook page, Parkinson’s Thiamine hcl, we’ve added:

To his Macuna ( 1 Barlowe’s brown 650, standardized to 244 mg ) 1 quercetin/c capsule, VitaCost brand, 1 5HTP, and 1 - 250 mg green tea extract. He takes these 4 before breakfast, lunch, dinner, and at bed.

Then, @ 2:00 and bedtime - 750 mg of GABA which has really helped his right hand tremor. To get deeper sleep, he adds 1 time-released, 10 mg of melatonin.

Following Daphney Brant’s book & Facebook page, we take 1 Neuromag, by Life Extension + 1 B50 complex with his breakfast and dinner. In Jan, after trying B1 capsules at different strengths for over a year, we switched to the Superior Source B1, which he allows to dissolve under his tongue for 25-30 min. For him, I cut tge capsules in half; so he takes 50 mg M, W, snd F.

The one thing he’s working on is exercising more daily. So much research on 30 min, 5 x a week to help slow down and, in many cases, to reverse symptoms

Hello - his entire left arm began to tremor, and at night, when he'd wake up, it was extremely strong. After reading about people taking GABA, 750 mg., twice a day

(maximum amount is around 3,000 mg a day), his tremors reduced to just his right hand, and the tremor less less 'violent.'
