Total Abdominal (Bikini cut) Hysterectomy next week..yikes!
I’ve had previous surgeries to remove really large fibroids (
Myomectomy
) so I have some idea of what to expect post op but I would so appreciate some happy experiences/stories.

3 weeks post surgery recovery
So this year started with preparing myself for an open
Myomectomy
surgery. Surgery went smooth. Now I feel physically okay, but mentally I have this feeling of darkness and impending doom.

Decapeptyl for fibroids
Hi, I am six weeks into having the decapeptyl injections to shrink a 7 cm fibroid prior to surgery -
myomectomy
or hysterectomy. I haven’t had any menopausal symptoms and my bleeding has fluctuated the full time either light or the big gushes.

Iodine Contrast Medium for UAE with Graves
My dr recommended UAE (uterine artery embolisation) after failed
myomectomy
but I am scared it will induce thyrotoxicosis or mess up my controlled graves due to contrast medium.

Is this my first period?
Hi, I’m 5 weeks post laparoscopic endometriosis surgery and
myomectomy
procedure. I’ve not had a period since the 4th of November. I’ve been having all the pms symptoms for the last week and today I had a very light pink-orange discharge. Is this my period? I have no pain and no heavy flow so far.

Open Myomectomy
I'm meeting with my surgeon today to discuss my upcoming operation (not keyhole) to remove 7 large fibroids (probably scheduled for Dec/Jan). What sort of questions should I ask the surgeon? I'm feeling a bit blank. Thank you.

Impact of surgery, signs of over medication
Hi, I've just had fairly major surgery to remove a very large fibroid from the outside of my uterus, a
myomectomy
. It was 30cm and 4.5kg, so quite a life-changing procedure and thankfully it went well.

Does having an Endometrioma mean I have Endometriosis?
I had a laparoscopy, ovarian cystectomy and a
myomectomy
to remove a fibroid. Just received the results to say after biopsy the 7.5cm cyst was in fact an endometrioma . No other evidence of endometriosis. Does this mean I have endometriosis which has now been removed? Could it come back?

Myomectomy for large fibroid
I'm 25 (no children) and have a melon-sized fibroid (10cmx8cm) behind my uterus. I have been referred for surgery and would love to connect with other women who have been through a similar journey. As you can see, I get extremely bloated and uncomfortable after eating but other than that I don't get

Has anyone here at a myomectomy to remove a fibroid and a C-section delivery?
Had a
myomectomy
to remove a very large fibroid sitting on uterus and was recommended that any future deliveries should be C-section. Just want to know if a section is easier to recover from than a
myomectomy
, as I couldn't imagine looking after a new born, considering how I felt after surgery?!

Another cycle with NHS or should We go to a private clinic?
It was a shock as after my
myomectomy
, We only had 4 frozen embryos and after my transfer, they couldn’t freeze the other two again. So now, we do not have any and we are waiting for a Telephone appointment with the doctor to discuss our chances now.

Acute pain when straining for BM in one spot post myomectomy.
My symptoms are based on movement, lifting, pressure, etc and it is VERY focal pain spot in my LLQ immediately after a

. Does ANYONE on this board ever have pain in their abdomen when they strain to have a BM.
