Thyroid medication and St John's Wort
I used to take St John's Wort but I have been treated with an SSRI for 3 years. I am now coming off this and wondering whether to go back to the STW for a bit of support. I have seen comments that St John's Wort should not be taken with Thyroid medication. However on the Thyroid UK website it mentions

My Journey With RLS, Experience With Kratom
Hi! First time posting, but wanted to share my experience because I'm kind of on top of the world right now! I have battled RLS for many years, and imagine like most have felt helpless at times, felt like no one understands what it really is and won't take it seriously, and have spent countless hours

Dr says I'm fine...I can feel me dying. [USA Help Please]
I wish there were straight email communication to the UK from the US. I have celiac disease & pernicious anemia un-diagnosed though not for lack of effort & Dr visits. Resulting in nerve pain, so many more issues including but not limited to mental & nerve damage all now rapidly progressive, due to deficiency

Sleep Apnea and Diabetes?
Hey guys, There seems to be a link between sleep apnea and diabetes, and I was wondering if anyone has actually experienced a sleep disorder? Can you tell me about what it was like having sleep apnea and diabetes at the same time and if a CPAP provided relief? Thanks This article goes into deeper

2 years since robotic radical prostectomy. Dr Lowe portland or. Constant battle with incontinence. Until now!.
I have dealt with nightly incontinence despite oxybitnin and flomax. I have conducted a very interesting experiment with my cpap machine, when I sleep with it on 99% of the time it's a bone dry night, when I go to sleep and forget or just go to sleep without putting it on, its guaranteed 100% of the

Important to consider sleep apnoea as a contributor to thyroid, fatigue and related metabolic troubles
Hi all. This post is as the heading, but first some context. It’s a bit of an essay. I’m no doctor, so this is an account of my own experience – we each have to make our own decisions. The take-away should you conclude it may be relevant is towards the bottom. It’s perhaps old hat by now, I’m a bit

During the day I’m feeling pretty good ( just a random persistent cough) but when I try to go to sleep at night.... my A-Fib and fast heart rate (100+) comes back when I lay down on my back and my sides also while wearing a cpap machine This started in my 3rd week after surgery but I noticed if I sit

CPAP weaning!
Hi Irina I was on a cpap machine for 8 years after a minor brain haemorrhage. I never had the typical apnea symptoms and only knew I had it due to my wife's insistance that I stopped breathing for long periods during my sleep. The cpap stopped the apnea but I never felt any benefit to my general health

Weaning off a cpap machine.
Not really an a-fib question but many of us are on C-Pap machines. Has anyone ever been able to wean off their machine? And if so, how did you do it? Thanks irina

Un-diagonosed Sleep Apnea
A few months ago I posted a question about high blood pressure at night and getting up 4 or 5 times a night for the toilet. I have had PAF for 7 years and was changed to Sotalol following a couple of Cardioversions three years ago. I went to my doctors about 2 years ago concerned with my night time toilet

COPD and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (Cpap)
Hi Guys I have my nice new shiny CPAP machine (full mask f20) and the first night was fantastic, however, since then I've struggled with the machine, panicky gaspy breaths are preventing me from dropping off to sleep, it's as though my breaths are not constant and the machine tries to adjust the air-flow
