One year post mastectomy.
Well one year is arriving. This time last time year I saw my consultant with the results of a second biopsy. I had already decided on a mastectomy and had accepted a date at the time of first biopsy confirmation of Grade 2 breast cancer. The second biopsy also was confirmed cancer and was told I needed

Pain in ribs at night
I'm new to this hub and this is my first post. I have recently been waking during the night with pain under ribs at right side, and often extending around the back. I have to sit straight up for an hour or more until it subsides, as lying down makes it worse. I am guessing maybe Biliary Colic. I

Fibromyalgia and PMR?
Hi there, I am 55 and was diagnosed with PMR in January 2019, put on 20mg pred as 15 didn’t do the trick. Added Alendronic acid due to a poor Dexa scan result and also take Adcal D3, K2 and magnesium for my bones. I reduced the pred slowly and steadily but struggled to get lower that 12.5mg without pain

Breast cancer survivor of 32 years
I just wanted to offer hope to others after receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer. I was diagnosed 32 years ago when I was 39. I had a mastectomy and have been lopsided ever since!! But I'm here. I've seen my children grow up and watched then have children of their own. I even delivered my grandson.

Magnesium and MBC
Hi ladies, just a quick question. I take Ibrance and Letrazole together with a monthly Denosumab injection and Adcal +D3. I’ve been having bad cramp in my legs and hands. Mostly wakes me during the night. My Cancer Nurse advised Magnesium. We have a really healthy diet, fresh everything but I feel that

Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
Unfortunately, this is the last post about my brother. He passed away on October 6. My brother showed great fortitude against very long odds, and his courage and strength of spirit during this brutal battle was inspirational. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I know the cliché that he is finally at peace

Osteoporosis treatment
I have had RA for 38 years and taken steroids when necessary throughout this time. Had 3-yearly Dexascans, the last one showing I had Osteopenia. My stomach will not tolerate Alendronic acid or similar. I take Adcal but realise with 3/4” height loss I need to be on something that will increase bone

Received my Eligard Injection on Tuesday - PSA a tick lower before injection - Low LDH score ?
Received my injection on Tuesday. Had labs done prior to injection. PSA dropped a tick from ".38" on 8/8/2020 to ".37" on 10/6/2020. My LDH was at 127. Literature says it is unusual to have a low LDH score. Anyone have any information on a low LDH score ? Thanks! Background Data: Diagnosed with

Alternatives to Adcal
Hi I responded badly to Adcal and my GP said there would be enough calcium in my diet. I take vitD and K2 plus multi vitamin daily and I’m on 8mgs Pred. However, I’ve been on a bio-sulphate for over three years and want to stop. Any suggestions as to another kind of calcium I could take? Thanks!

I have been prescribed calci-D twice daily but I then have bad constipation so I have reduced dosage to one every other day which seems to help as my steroids and strong painkillers also can cause constipation.I was on Adcal but prescription was changed, but no reason given.I have Movicol daily which
