Hi new to this but so glad I found your page 4 years ago ( nearly five ) I had a lobectomy as I had lung cancer but previous to that I'd had a mastectomy on the same side then previous to that I'd had a lumpectomy same side so 2 major op's and 1 non-major I obviously have a lot of scarring and I get the most horrendous pain I'm on MST tablet 40gr twice daily and oramorph as a top-up but I am never pain-free it's a constant burning stabbing feeling with heaviness as well, does that make sense? it's getting beyond a joke now I can't do things like ironing or polishing with my right hand as it accentuates the pain.
Thanks

What a lot you’ve endured. I don’t know if it’s normal to have such pain, hopefully someone will be able to answer that for you. Do you have a doctor or consultant who you can ask about these things? (I know it’s almost impossible to speak to anyone medical at the moment) Sending you lots of good wishes 🕊
When I had an accident in 1977 I had a bad shoulder dislocation of my right arm which has left my right side much weaker and often sore ever since. I taught myself to do a lot of heavier tasks with my left hand and arm, so I have become oddly ambidextrous. It is a bit strange at first, but it can be done.
So sorry you're having to suffer so much pain. I've heard of 'pain management clinics' - probably you need a referral from your GP (or ask for any other possible solutions). Hope you can get something done soon.
U have already b thro so much.i dnt know how to help u but r u able to do stretches to exercise? Also,is the scaarring healed enough to moisturise and help soften the scar tissue x
