Greetings FPC members,

First, a new method to improve cancer detection during radical prostatectomy to avoid missing possible cancers using Cerenkov luminescence.

Next, DNA archeologists discover a new target (ADAR1) for cancers that is involved with many cancers and may play a role in preventing cancer's ability to evade the immune system. Cancer cells produce ADAR1 to help evade detection by the immune system and finding a drug to block ADAR1 will increase efficacy of treatments.

Lastly, a new way to produce CAR-T cells will increase the number of viable CAR-T cells for infusion and decrease the side effects from additives in the solution. The approach was developed by the University of South Australia team led by Prof Benjamin Thierry in collaboration with Assoc Prof Majid Warkiani at the University Technology Sydney, and could achieve, within 30 minutes, depletion of over 70% of dead cells in the CAR T products, leading to an average of 20% increase in cell viability.

Hey Ranger D,

Hope all is well in Alohaville... just did testing after 1 month off and all things are good... the future is bright and getting brighter...I see so many doom and gloomers, but since 2011, we have seen Abiraterone, Apalutamide, Enzalutamide, Darolutamide, Cabazitaxel , Lu-177, AC-225, Xofigo, PARP inhibitors, and Provenge come available for treatment... Axumin and the PSMA scans, HIFU, and much more on the way... not a cure, but a lot more than Lupron...

Life is good !!!
