Finally after trying to chase the a&e cardiologist who checked the echocardiogram he said my results were all normal. So I requested my results to check for myself as I feel rotten daily and it's says

Min invasive Aortic valve replacement:- happy or disappointed?
I’m 67 yo, male, slightly overweight but otherwise good health but I have a severe Aortic Stenosis, that’s running at about 25% of full capacity. My only symptoms are slight breathlessness when climbing stairs. Saw a surgeon yesterday who wants to replace the valve with an animal valve, but he does not

Waxing or hair removal when on Warfarin
Hi. I just had a mechanical valve replacement on the 16th of August 2023. I would like to get waxed. Is it possible to? I have never bled before warfarin. Are there other hair removal methods that are safer or can I stick to waxing?

Hair Loss on Warfarin
Hi all, I don’t post very often. I’ve been taking warfarin since February 2021 after having two mechanical valves fitted. I know that I will need to see my doctor about this, but I am losing my hair, and it’s noticeable now, especially at the front. Does anyone else have this? What can be done to

Painful legs (burning sensation behind both knees)
Hi all Well, I’m hoping someone can provide a view on what is happening to me now! For the last couple of months I have had severe pain in the legs which has now started to become a burn behind my knees. It doesn’t improve or worsen on exercise and is particularly painful laying in bed. I used to

Cirrhosis and Confused
I was diagnosed with Liver Cirrhosis in March of this year (2024) when I was 29. It was diagnosed through a CT but had ‘deranged’ LFT blood tests since August 2023. I was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and an enlarged spleen. The thought of it all scared me and so far I’ve managed to lose 3 stone

Off label uses for Inbrija?
I've just started experimenting with Inbrijia. So far, so good for a rescue med. I seem to be back on in 10-15 mins with one toke. Has any one experimented with Inbrija for other uses? For example, I think it would work great for those times when I eat a meal with protein and then realize it's time

Issues with tocilizumab?
Hello, my husband had an appointment with the Rheumatology nurse today. He is on tocilizumab but has had to have half dose as his liver blood results are too high. It is not as effective and he is developing problems with his hands. He is seeing the physiotherapist and an steroid injection was discussed

Significant decrease in PSA?
Hello everyone! I posted on here a little while back and everyone gave me such great information and high hopes for my dad's future treatment options! I have updated his bio, but just to recap - He was diagnosed on 8/15/24 with advanced metastatic prostate cancer (spread to bones) with an initial PSA

No alcohol beer 0.5%
Hi My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis in July. He’s doing really well and hasn’t drank for 2 months. However, he is drinking no alcohol beer and ‘gin substitute’. I know some people don’t recommend it as it keeps the taste alive but I think if it’s helping him stay clean then he should do what
