Off label uses for Inbrija?

I've just started experimenting with Inbrijia. So far, so good for a rescue med. I seem to be back on in 10-15 mins with one toke.

Has any one experimented with Inbrija for other uses?

For example, I think it would work great for those times when I eat a meal with protein and then realize it's time for another dose. With a quick hit I would not need to worry about that pesky protein since it is going in through my lungs.

Or, sometimes I feel like I need a boost before I go into a boxing class. Easy.

Any other creative ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

hi,

how long does it last?

I've only tried it twice so far, and both time I was surprised by how long it lasted. Both times a single capsule lasted around two hours, I think. Next time I will time them. In the meantime, Dr Google tells me the "half-life"" of Inbrija is 2.3 hours and Sinemet is 1.5 hours. Interesting....

I tried it when off moment came too fast but I found it terrible. It felt like I was choking, it did me no good plus the inhaler gets all black and dirty.

Me too! I coughed and choked and said never again. But then, 10 minutes later I was totally on, which was kind of miraculous. When I go off I cannot walk at all, totally frozen, and Inbrija got me walking tout de suite. I just ate a protein smoothie and am planning to ride that off and see if it works then.

I also just tried Inbrija recently and it did make me choke a bit the first two times I used it. (I think my smoker friends have better luck!) But, then I sort of figured out how to breathe and it seems to work well. I agree that it lasts longer than I thought it would. I have only used 1 capsule at a time so far and it seems to last at least a couple of hours. Jury is still out whether or not I'll pay the high co-pays once my samples run out. I, too, am curious to find out when others use it. On a daily basis, if I'm at home, my off times are few and far between. But, as soon as I am out of the house, during social, travel or business situations, I seem to go off with no notice. I think of those situations as "rescue" times when I might need to use it. Hoping for other ideas for daily med management (preventative?) as well.

I like the idea of "preventative" med management, lbrussell. I'd love to be able to to figure out when I'm going off and then to avoid going off. Has anyone else figured out how to use Inbrija to prevent off episodes?
