Honest opinions on mirena coil please...good and bad
Hi ladies So considering getting the
mirena
coil. Did it help your pain? How did it affect your periods? I'm in pain daily with my endo and need something to help now. Painkillers aren't really helping and don't want to take them every day. Thanks x

Advice on recent Endomitriosis diagnosis
She recommended the
mirena
coil & discharged me. The Questions I have are: • I’m currently not on any hormonal suppressant, so my first question is can anyone recommend the best one to have for endometriosis? Is it better for me to be on a progesterone only pill or the combination pill?

Best contraception
I have had the depo injection and also the
Mirena
coil. I am having the coil removed as it hasn’t worked and is embedded in my womb but I am just wondering what I should have after. Has anybody had any success with the implant for endometriosis? Thank you ☺️

Vaginal bleeding with bowel movement? 😅
Not the nicest post, I have the
Mirena
coil fitted and low oestrogen combined pill on top to stop bleeding, all working well to stop periods. Still have daily pain but manageable, worse when sitting or driving for more than 10 mins and constant back pain.

Any advice?
Hello my name is ruby, I’m 19 years old. I have been suffering with endometriosis ever since I was 13 and the doctors were so sure that it couldn’t be that because of my age, finally when I turned 17 after doing everything else that wasn’t a surgery they did a laparoscopic procedure on me to find out

Has anyone had a
mirena
coil fitted for the treatment of endometriosis and it not work? Or caused more heavy bleeding than before?

Giving up on your IUD?
I've had a
mirena
before, and experienced more cramping with it. After removal, the cramping went away but the pain to poo from the endo came back. About 4 years later I'm now trying the Jaydess IUD and have had it for 9 months. Seems I can't exercise without bringing on bad contraction-like pains.

Marina Coil
Hey all.. I had my coil fitted whilst having my lap 2 weeks ago today. When I woke up I was bleeding very heavily, it stopped for 2 days then started and it’s still going😫. The reason they gave me the coil was because my periods useto last around 5-6 weeks but they said it would stop it. The pains

Frustrated - no one will do anything to help!
I was diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis in September 2018 following a biopsy, saw gynae in November 2018 who fitted a new
Mirena
coil (even though had 4 coils fitted over last 20 years and endo has still grown!).

Lap came back normal, what now?
The pill/mini pill gave me terrible side effects, the
mirena
coil didn't work, various painkillers including Diclofenac, Mefenamic acid, Naproxen, co-codamol etc don't even seem to touch the sides. My pain starts around 3 days before my period and lasts around 4 days into it.

Confused about hormones
I've heard from some that progesteron mini-pills cause a lot of side effects and that the
Mirena
IUD is better. I've also read that
Mirena
can cause more cramps/abdominal pain. Has anyone had positive experiences on either
Mirena
or the mini pill?

Looking to hear other people's experiences...
The only two things that were found was a mass in one of my kidneys which seemed to miraculously disappear when I have a cystoscopy and the second was adhesions around my pelvic area when I had a laparoscopy; I also had a
mirena
coil put in at the time of the laparoscopy as my periods had also been so

Mirena coil and cramps strong as contractions. Reason? Too little uterus
I want to share with you my experience with
mirena
coil. I have endometriosis and i was asked on pre-operation consultation for laparoscopic surgery of enfometriosis, if i want
mirena
coil. It's good way how to stop bleeding so I shouldn't have any pain or problems for few years.

Three months after laparoscopy
He basically told me the
mirena
was the only option (I'm against this as my body tends to reject anything and I am allergic to life lol) or to put my ovaries to sleep. These were his words! For context I am 33 and have no children. Basically I am just so confused with what to do next.

Best contraception for hypothyroid?
Over the years I’ve had
Mirena
coil, but I was getting awful cystic spots around my jawline that seemed to be worsening. I decided to try the Yasmin pill, as it was supposed to be great for reducing hormonal spots. And it did work to be honest!
