Can't find mirena coil threads?!
Hi all, just had a
mirena
coil fitted on tuesday, I have my appointment in 6 weeks booked for the nurse to check all is ok, but I've seen that you should try and check yourself in the first month for the threads, I have tried twice now and really can't find anything!

Lump next to belly button after laparoscopy?
They found no endo so wasn't treated for that but did have a
mirena
coil inserted. Today I have found a small pea sized lump to the right of my belly button, and it's quite tender. Is this normal or is this a cause for concern? Any advice is much appreciated!

Endometriosis in Pregnancy
I found the emotional symptoms I had on the coil to be far worse than the physical ones, even though the pain was still bad with the
mirena
. Any other pregnant ladies experiencing their endo pain throughout their pregnancies? I'd like to hear your experience!!!

I'm 18 just been diagnosed with Endometriosis I need some help/advice
I finally had a laparoscopy and got diagnosed with Endometriosis, then got fitted with the
Mirena
coil. However I still feel so alone, no one has really explained anything to me, it was only the day I was going in for the operation I was even told I was going to be having the coil!

ear pressure
Has anyone experienced ear pressure, as though there is some air or water in the ear whilst on decapeptyl and
mirena
coil? It is becoming really bad now, the GP has had a look but cant see anything wrong in them. Im not sure if the
mirena
is causing this or the injections?

Back to back pill
I can't have the
mirena
coil due to it giving me big cysts on my face. So my doctor has told me to take 2 pill packs in a row without a break. I am still bleeding badly when I would normally be due my period on my seven day break despite taking my pill continuously.

Laparoscopy tomorrow...
At the same time he is going to remove my implant, and put in a
Mirena
coil. I'm just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how I'll feel afterwards.

Not Again :(
Insane sugar cravings, bleeding as normal even with the
Mirena
, foul moods, low moods, pain. I don't think the
Mirena
caused the moods. The last week wasn't great, but since yesterday I've been in bed, simply unable to move with pain.

Contraceptive pill nolonger helping pain!
My gynae has strongly recommended the
Mirena
coil as pills don't seem to work long term. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this on the pill, ie having some improvement in regards to pain but it gradually wearing off over time? Any insight would be really helpful! xx

Surgery a success or Not?
I also had the
mirena
coil fitted at the same time. For the last 11 weeks apart from 3 weeks recovery I have been pain free and I have also had no period since. I was feeling so positive but that was ruined yesterday.

Does this sound like Endometriosis or something else?
Mirena
made my periods painful and I bled for months and months. Please share your thoughts. This doesn't really fit with endo does it? The pain started suddenly at a very stressful time in my life.

Mirena + mini pill
Hi all For years the
Mirena
worked for me, but now I've started the menopause the pain has returned with vengeance. I think this is because my natural progesterone level has declined already. My GP is suggesting the mini pill on top of the
Mirena
. Has anyone tried this?

3 weeks post lap - cramps like contractions
I also had a
mirena
coil fitted but am continuing to take the pill (as advised by doc) to keep periods away. My general pain level is now like a bad period pain, but I'm kind of used to that with the endo. I am hoping that his will just get better each day.

Positive Mirena insertion experience
I'm writing this post because I find that people only post about their negative
mirena
insertion experiences. I just had mine fitted today and I just wanted to say it was much better than I expected. I know every woman is different and has different experiences.

Mirena coil...
Hello ladies, I have had the coil fitted last Tuesday, after three attempts of trying (took over ten minutes!). Had lots of nerve pain during the fitting, and was very faint/nauseous afterwards. My worry now is that the pain is worse after I have a wee. So every time I go to toilet the pain rears up
